Isabella's understanding of Edward through his cold layers and love for him despite it all show incredible strength. I just can not understand how she, the one person who knows him best, allow this dysfunction to continue for years. Sleeping in separate rooms is a sign for couple's therapy. Bella could have demanded it and let it all work itself out. In my opinion she was equally neglectful of their relationship.

Apparently I either read or read most of this story years ago because I reviewed some chapters then and then with this reread I review early chapters. Anyway, like all your stories this one was a lovely read. We need all the 'good' we can get in our world today and reading this story about redemption and change and love and forgiveness and death and dying and birth and rebirth and of course we can't forget the angels...Oh to have ones own personal Seth come to life like Edward had...big sigh. I wondered if Edward ever told Bella about Seth. I would have loved a future take with him having to or wanting to tell Bella a little bit about Seth. But I did want to leave this last review to let you know that all your stories are being appreciated time and again. Thanks!

It is nice seeing Edward's vulnerability, not wanting to be away from Isabella now that he's reconnected with her...very Sweet.

I can just imagine how hard it must have been for Bella to sleep in a different bedroom than her husband and pretend like all was well in their marriage to the outside world. Must have been very lonely and painful and yet she came to his bed on various occasions and I assume it was a mutual arrangement but it's so cold so it's nice to see Edward finally realize how much he's missed out by not addressing the issues that were so painful he allowed himself to be cold and distant. I think the Seth parts are so sweet, especially at the end here when he brought sleep to Edward and kissed both of their heads as he wished them a peaceful rest.

Being Italian myself, it was cool seeing the passionate side of Bella come through in this chapter. And I see Edward starting to grow and develop. I'm thinking he needs to say out loud what he's thinking.

I wonder if Edward will tell her about Seth first and then start to let Bella in and explain why he's so broken. I think that's what Seth meant by Isabella being the key to Edward's redemption. I'm thinking he has to repent and change his behavior toward his wife, be more present and of course share with her his past and then once he's purged himself by sharing this with her then he will be healed. I think they both need to see therapists to first get Edward to explore his childhood pain and then to fix their marriage. About time Bella started acting like Renee and certainly Nonna would want her too.

So Seth really thinks he knows Edward is going to die sooner rather than later and doesn't know how it will happen. This leaves Edward to have to get his life in order now. How is he going to explain to his wife, that he's neglected and she allowed him to do it...And yeah Edward seems to have some parts of him that are broken from some childhood trauma having to do with his parents but to marry someone knowing you are too closed off to be a whole husband is wrong. I get why Bella just allowed her husband to continue being an absent partner because it's easier to just let things be than to address the issue and create change. I'm thinking she's ready now if she's standing up to him and requiring him to answer her question about what's going on.

Edward is not only an asshole as Seth indicated and doesn't even know his wife well, he doesn't love her because how do you neglect someone you're supposed to love. I mean the way he was talking about his wife to Seth, that she was this or that and took for granted he'd married her because she fit the appearance of a wife and she performed her role well. And how does Bella love a man who neglects her like this, has separate bedrooms, cooks for him and leaves it so he eats it alone when he gets home after she's asleep. What kind of love is that from both of them. Seems Bella enables her being treated so poorly. And now after Seth has shown him he may not have a lot of time on this earth and because he needs his wife to help him make changes in order to make amends, well that's so selfish.

This is a very interesting plot point, Edward meeting up with an angel who tries to steer him into making amends to those he's neglected or worse. I liked Bella's backstory. That she is a strong woman, raised by loving parents and grandparents. I love that she has a strong Nonna, I did too. That background on her, her strength and independence would hopefully lead her not to take what her husband has given her, a closed off partnership. I get she loves him but she ought not take being neglected and closed off by. So it will be nice to see Edward unfold and reach out to others.

So because he's ready, she should be? F**k that, he'd be dancing to my tune now. You say she's strong and stubborn? Not seen much of that yet, she appears to be a total walkover to me. Will read on to see.

Found your story. What a story. So different. Edward had a very rough life but it took Bella and his angel to help him get him out of his old life to the one that made him completely happy. Went through a whole box of tissues. Loved it so much. Thanks you for writing this exceptional story!

Edwards time in Heaven in this chapter upset me in a way no other I have read in any fan fic ever has. I had to just stop reading and go to bed, and even then I had trouble sleeping. I understand that it was Heaven. I understand it was all encompassing peace and love... BUT... it left me questioning everything about Edward and his love for Isabella. That he not once but twice said he wanted to stay made me a bit physically ill. Up to this point I would have said this was by far my favorite FanFiction ever (and considering I am 100% a team Jasper girl that is huge) but this truly ruined it for me. If the Voice had not urged him to go back he would have stayed. To me, that means he is not who I thought he was at all. Isabella deserves better, and I never thought that, even when he was at his worst before. I did try to read the next chapter but when I got to the part where Edward said " I love you so fing much" I just slammed my computer shut, because NO HE DOES NOT. Not enough. I thought she was his Greatest Gift. If that's true why was he SO easily going to walk away. Then to make matters worse he made the joke about regifting. So he does not care enough to go back to her but in a ultimate act of selfishness he wants her alone the rest of her life. Maybe he is exactly who everyone else thought he was all along. He loved Isabella when she was there making HIM feel better but as soon as something came along that made him feel even better he had no use for her or even his child. This makes him no better than his parents. He was leaving her to deal with incredible grief and guilt and a lifetime with no one to love her and leaving his child with no father, how is that different than Liam. I'm going to finish the last few chapters. I'm going to hope something in them redeems him for me, but I have my doubts. I do hope so. I thought for sure this would be a story I reread over and over, but as it stands I'm not sure it will be.
