Seriously? The story clearly shows Jean is in love with Scott and hates and fears Jason.

Now on the review... I don't know if you'll read this after so many years, but good story. I liked, and I'm sorry you never got to give it a proper ending.

At the beginning I disliked the retcon, but I eventually accepted it. Let's be honest, every time Jean Grey has been turned into Phoenix she's been killed off nearly right away and stayed dead for many years. Marvel doesn't know what to do with her. And it isn't as if Jean isn't a powerhouse without the cosmic power-up, so she doesn't need it either.

Regardless, I can't agree with Rachel never being brought back from DoFP. Scott and Jean's daughter is one of my favorite X-Women and I'm always delighted to see her.

Coming across this 15 years after you seem to've ended it. I really, really enjoyed this read though. You have such a good grasp of characters and it's so nice to see Jean in the spotlight. And this era of X-Men is such a strong team; free of the teenage angst and wish-fulfilment that took over in the 2000s and 2010s. These are adults and almost a family, and that's how I remember the X-Men.

If you ever want to write again, I would be happy to read anything that strikes you.

okay please update im wondering will the black queen make appearances with jason wyngarde because i feel the black queen still desires an wants him an isnt interested in scott at all also dark phoenix is the same too hmm i think if jean gave jason one night with her black queen outfit they can keep an affair but she let the black queen/dark phoenix personality take over when with him. maybe use one of the comics that she indeed is the ancestor reborn or reincarnation of the past her black queen anyway new chapters

Hmmm... Interesting. Though I belive I'm falling into my age-old habit of getting more into the subplots, (Whoo-Hoo! Murdock!) and less into the main plotline. Hope this ends with a big shakeup, 'casue some of the lead characters are starting to seem as bad as the villains...

Ooh. A couple things.

Rewriting the entire Post-Pheonix Saga. I applaud your ambition.

Emma Frost. Still a villain. Thank God. I don't how people can actually portray her otherwise.

Not too sure about the Essex revamp. I like him as sinister as he can get. But perhaps I'm just biased...

Little Storm. No Rogue. No problem.

And lastly, I do believe I just marked-out at Wisdom's appearance in the story. Ah, but I'm fond of that git.

Though in the future, I'd advise against posting the whole story at once. It makes us feel like we should read it at once. Which I usually just don't have the attention span for. Later.

I don't really like reading a lot of Jean stories she just isn't one of my faveourite characters to read about in fanfiction but in saying that, I have to say that you do an excellent job. I read this story to see what was it like and have been reading it ever since. I'm glad to see theres some more chapters. I think the last one I had read was 16. Anyway, Good work and do keep it up!
