I really liked this... But it started to annoy me after a while. Christmas aint a Christian holiday... Its a commercial version of the Pagan Yule, that we changed to Christmas wen all the Christians were runnin around killin us, so we cud still celebrate it without them lyk tryin to burn us...

I've recently run into your webpage and read alot of your fanfiction - which ranged in quality. While my favorite ones of yours aren't up on , I felt the need to comment on this one as a general adressing of a slight OOC I notice when I read alot of your fiction. This one seemed the most prominent example. I love the Garak/Bashir pairing, but to think that Garak would do something so silly as this, it seems very unrealistic. To me, Garak has always seemed a person who always has the upper hand (example, even when he was assaulted by the klingons he claimed to have had the advantage of bruising their egos while his wounds would heal) and it doesn't seem to me like he'd do something so silly (none the less approach captain sisko) because it would ruin his good natured standoffish image. I'm not sure he'd be so tender either (especially when he was being so predatory with respects to Ziyal, the girl was under 18 and he seems over 30). I'm not sure if I can see him in any other setting than mystery. His whole character was based upon it and the only emotions he showed surfaced in angst (torturing Odo, Tain dying, etc). In your other story, Changes, Lies, and Fears, I similarly think he wouldn't do something as to put his sexuality out in the open. In fact I think he would resent his sexuality (just as he has issues in the series with fighting against cardassia which causes him great distress). And especially hiring someone is very bizarre. Same thing with Bashir going to Quark, I think it's very unrealistic that he wouldn't have access to those things in the first place. Solitaire/Solitude seemed more realistic except with the readiness and openness of how they admitted their attraction, it would seem to me that no words would be spoken because Garak hates to admit anything, and that the circumstances of their relationship would be just as mysterous as all of the other circumstances surrounding Garak. Anyway, yeah... I appreciate that most authors don't like criticism when it comes to their work, but their are times when you're writing is brilliant (like the situation in solitaire, the idea was brilliant, even though seemingly common, I don't think I ever would have thought of it) and times when it's unrealistic, and I only hope that this would be more helpfull than obnoxious. I'm making a co-note on one of your kira/dukat stories as well that adresses your general approach to their relationship.
