Starlight's Delight chapter 5 . 7/4/2006 You evil bitch. You write a great story, and then you leave it to rot for 3 YEARS! What's wrong with you? I really, really like this, everyone is in character, the plot is original, and then you just abandone it? What's UP with that? I just discovered this, are you EVER going to continue? HUH! HUH! HUH! It's such a great story, and you said you'd finish it. Please consider continuing this story again, wherever you are, if you can. If there's no possible way you can (perhaps because of serious shit as I like to call it)then just know I've greatly enjoyed what you've written. |
Nihilism chapter 5 . 4/5/2004 Wow. I read the first few chapters of this on some website, and I was really thrilled to come across it here - with more chapters! It has to be the best JtHM fic I've ever read, very believable (considering the universe it's set in) and original. I really hope you write more soon! |
anonymoose chapter 5 . 2/2/2004 i was going to post this review something along the lines of "hey, i'm going to write one of these every week you don't update, i'm going to keep pestering you until you write more..." but then it occured to me that if i'm going to force reviews on you like this, i should at least put in some (gasp!) constructive criticism, something rarely seen in reviews for some reason. i'll talk about the "all-action" chapters. there's always the difficult problem of trying to combine detailed descriptions with quick, fast play-by-play action. in one paragraph, the reader will pick out words like "chairs, ducked, banging and destroying, plaster, throwing, blindly, pressure, coughed, screamed" and get a slight hint about what's going on. the most simple solution i can think of is to never have more then two/three verbs in a sentence, and to press "enter, tab" a bit more. it livens things up when there are short paragraphs, as basic as it may sound. action aside, i love your descriptive voice, plot and character development. it's great to finally read a realistic and interesting "older-squee" fic. hoping for more! |
anonymoose chapter 5 . 1/28/2004 this is great stuff. well written, not ooc, interesting. can't wait for more. |
Shinomiko chapter 5 . 10/18/2003 This is an excellent fic. I do like that it's an epic with a real plot, instead of a re-hash of different parts of the series. Those are amusing, to be true, but it gets old after a while. I like your characterization of Devi. Her anger towards NNy is certainly justified, and I like the summary of what's been going on in her life and her reactions to it and such. I also like how you've fleshed out the role of the Doughboys, Shmee and Nailbunny, and the Wall Monster into something more concrete. Jhonen always hinted at something, but he never made definite any of the aspects of those voices. Over all, your characterization is excellent. Johnny is more mellow than I rememeber, but time might have done that. I enjoyed this fic immensely - it stays trut o the series more than most others I've encountered. I look forward to reading the next chapter. -Shinomiko |
MaySoFarAway chapter 5 . 9/16/2003 oh my how I like this XD It makes me warm and fuzzy, like a biig gooey handful of gak...but not. Please write more, I want to know what all happens _ ~ Me |
Kedreeva chapter 5 . 9/15/2003 Mr . You need to finish this. It's been like... *checks watch* Eight years. Really. Okay, not really, but I'm sure it's been close. Or you can give up on this for a little bit and we can go beat David into doing his lines so we can have a radio drama. *innocent smile* But otherwise... I want to read the rest of this, because it's good. Really good. *gives you cookie* kudos! Remind me to bug you next time I see you online. ~Sparkle |
Atraiyu chapter 5 . 9/9/2003 Hi, I just wanted to say that I like where the story is going so far. I first saw it on a different web site, and I was happy that I found it here too, since I frequent this site. Hehe... I like how you have Shmee's character. I would think it would be hard to give that teddy bear a distinctive personality of his own, but you've done that nicely. Anyways, good luck with future chapters, and I look forward to reading more of this in the future. |
B chapter 1 . 7/6/2003 Oh, good times. Enjoying this. Squee seems plausibly in character. |
seriaMau chapter 4 . 2/27/2003 Thanks for updating! I love this fic, definitely a favorite of all the JTHM stories I've read. I can't wait for the next chapter_ |

kitsu chapter 4 . 1/15/2003 Yeee! I like this story, I like it very, very VERY much! Everyone's in character, it's wonderfully written, and it DOES have an original plotline! Gasp! And it's interesting and nifty and cool and all that other good stuff! What happens to poor Tenna? Super-great fic! Update sometime! I'll give you cookies! |
J. Random Lurker chapter 4 . 12/20/2002 Marvelous. I just love it. Write more when you get the chance. The characters are spot-on; they 'feel' like their comic-book selves. You've found their cores. |
sasori chapter 4 . 12/10/2002 interesting. hm. i'm intellectually off, so i don't quite understand everything, but it's very interesting. |
