The Drifter chapter 4 . 5/24/2016
Wow. This was a delight to read. The epilogue absolutely made me smile, because the writing in the previous chapters got me emotionally invested in the characters. This is such a sweet and sensitive story. Also, Luna, pigeon, and cats making out. The humour fit the tone of the story very nicely.

Kudos!
ServeMeTheSky chapter 4 . 1/20/2015
What a great story. I thought all the personalities were spot on, good job.
Neverknew chapter 4 . 11/28/2014
Oh, my.

I must confess, I could read this story over and over again. I don't know how it took me so long to discover it.

Being a writer myself, I have to express my compliments - it's hard, writing two people who are interacting. I am constantly pausing, breathing, pulling back to think hard on my words. One steps forward, places her foot between the other's feet. Their hips brush, her arm falls upon shoulders- the dance is hard to capture. It always feels too wordy - but yours don't. Also, I must add, double compliments, because I find it even harder when the scene is between two women. 'She' adds nothing.

Also - I was curious from the first chapter if Rei had a thing for Mina. I was almost positive by the second (they had already called and talked by the time Ami got there). I loved the way the proposition worked!

Such good work!
Neverknew chapter 3 . 11/28/2014
Of COURSE Michiru would show up at the exact right time and she would already have the words Ami needed all along! I don't use the outers very often, but you have a far better grasp on them than I ever would.

Your control over the conversations is perfect. The words flow as a dance; the fluidity of movement, the dance of eyebrows, lips, of hands and hair. Also, the dialogue itself - 'we became friends' has so much more personality, more humor and more embarrassment than 'I fell in the ice.' I think dialogue is one of the things I've had a hardest time learning to write, to make it feel natural - like character's speaking, moving, breathing; not 'words on a paper'. And reading your stories reminds me that I could do better.

Another wonderful chapter as always!
Neverknew chapter 2 . 11/28/2014
No, don't change your prose! i love it! Prose takes years to learn. It's not just slapped on paper - it's fed, grown; nurtured via instinct and imagery and each has their own.

Your mastery of all the characters is perfect - you mentioned that you don't write with the inners very often, but they are spot-on.

On Usagi's sense of justice/fairness, you captured it perfect. Usagi's a bit nieve, innocent, and any consequence is worth a good date - thus why she 'won' by kissing Mamo; her crippling sickness not even a blip on the map.

And Luna! I've never used the cats myself; now I realize what wonderful characters I'm missing out on! I always wondered - where to draw the line. Sage advisor or perfectly petta-ble kitten. It is a very fine line to walk indeed, but you were enormously successful in making Luna both sage; wise, and oldened, as well as vain. And a bit pampered.

My favorite line:
"And a pigeon at that. Fat, filthy little thing." She finished guiltily. "It was delicious."
Neverknew chapter 1 . 11/28/2014
This fic is absolutely wonderful.

Your writing style is beautiful - particularly the alliteration is masterful, plus your grip on the characters are perfect. I don't know if it's just the winter weather - but it feels a bit ...muted. It fits so WELL though. A reflection of the weather, the cold and mist, clawing at the windows, trying to seep inside as its inhabitants (Ami, mostly) sitting inside, huddled as they whisper between them.

So I'll most definitely be reading the rest of this story in one sit.

Also, loved Rei's little phone call at the end. Twas wonderful.
Penguinf1uff chapter 4 . 7/7/2014
Oh I absolutely loved this! This was so well written and easy to get into. Your display of the cold weather mixed well with the cold ice of doubt inside Ami. It was fun watching the different forms of advice the other Soldiers gave her and how comical some were. It was marvelous. I also especially love how Makoto knew what Ami needed (hot chocolate). And letting that hot chocolate melt the cold doubt away for a warm new beginning. I also loved the hint of Rei/Mina in the end 3

I really loved this. I'm going to check out some of your other stories as well. I hope you keep writing!
Bob Bandicoot chapter 4 . 3/13/2013
Amazing story! The way you portrayed Amy's thoughts and feelings was just great, you managed to show her shyness and her conflict and yet it was believable and not angsty at all. The rest of the characters were also beautifully writen, I especially liked Usagi, Luna and Mischiru. And all those descriptions were so subtle and they created such a nice picture that it helped you visualise everything much easier, those were the details that made this story even better. The only thing that I would kinda preffer, is that Makoto should have appeared a little more and they should have been together a little longer after they got together. I really liked the scene with Rei and Minako in the end, very sweet and really funny. Overal, a great story, way to go!
GrrHero chapter 1 . 11/15/2012
Unreal. The way you use words would make Orwell, and Shakespeare jealous. I've read this story about 20 times since it was uploaded, and it still stirs within me something akin to inspiration and love. I can not properly explain the amazing way you mold scenes and emotions. Please keep writing, I'll always be reading.
Hikaru Akihiko chapter 4 . 9/30/2012
I just realized I never reviewed this story. The use of intelligent words wonderfully reflects Ami. The ending of Ami and Makoto's part was great, it was romantic without any overly redundant action. I look forward to your future works.
kairitheseventhprincessofheart chapter 4 . 3/26/2012
So incredibly cute! I loved it and thought it was adorable. Especially loved the misunderstanding between Makoto and Ami, and the little part at the end with Rei and Minako.
The Edge Of Sanity chapter 4 . 8/28/2011
A very sweet ending indeed. Keep up the good work! ()
cat.got.tongue chapter 4 . 8/19/2011
OMG, I don't know what to say. This is so beautifully written, I'm really speechless. (And Minako is hilarious! But she is of course right, her and Rei definitely belong together.)
Deadcanons chapter 4 . 6/20/2011
Amazing. Simply amazing. Your writing style is very similar to that of Douglas Adams - I approve in every possible way.
Angelsheart85 chapter 4 . 5/9/2011
