Very good! Up until they kiss this could totally be in the actual show (if they did kiss that would be awesome and give all the fangirls heart attacks and squee would explode everywhere). But seriously Cas and Dean need to have a talk this season cuz the tension is killing me. This could be that talk.

Great story! I'm really impressed with your descriptions, especially that paragraph explaining why the kiss happened - and Castiel discussing what being at war meant - I really liked it because I felt we didn't learn much from the episode.

It is very hard to watch Dean and Cas this season. Really hard to see so much pain and distance between them. Your story, while utterly heartbreaking, makes things a little easier. I think you have managed to capture perfectly what is going on with the two of them right now. Very very very well done.
