egoXlockheart chapter 1 . 11/2/2010 Awh. This was really sweet. Their personalities and struggles were in character... and wow, it was just amazing. Awesome work. I enjoyed it. :D |
Charlotte Lazarus chapter 1 . 10/30/2010 Wow. This was really...wow. I'm reduced to barbarian speech. Great piece, really. |
LickSkillet chapter 1 . 10/30/2010 I will say that I originally read this on your LJ, but I re-read it here, and ffffff. Just. just "Fffffff". No, but seriously. Another very poignant piece. I like that Sirius didn't immediately stand up for Remus because, sometimes, though we'd rather not admit it, we doubt those closest too us. And if Remus or Sirius were the traitor, both of them would be so in love they wouldn't want to see it /anyway/ until it slapped them in the face. "He needed to feel Sirius, needed to know that /they/ had happened, that the past few years hadn't been a nasty dream, that Sirius wanted /him/." - This. That is one of my favorite things about this pairing. I love (slightly)insecure!Remus, because I've always felt that his childhood, with the bite and lycanthropy, and everything, really made him very unsure of himself, and he kind of ... prepares himself for the worst. If all of his friends turned around and said "Oh, Remus, we hate you now. I mean, you're a bloody /werewolf/ what /were/ we thinking?" Remus would take it all in stride, because he'd be thinking, "Well, been expecting that for years..." There's also a bit of insecurity on Sirius' part, in that the very first thing he thought when Remus left was that Remus no longer loved him. (I think I'll spare you another psychology session about childhood and family issues.) ... I need to learn to make my reviews succinct. It was amazing and perfect and sad and happy (and hot, okay, I admit it). Looking forward to more! :D -Skillet |
