I know you're unsure about the chapter, but I enjoyed it. I'm trying to figure Daniel out...and I suspect he's developing a thing for Zoe, but we'll see...

Nice touch with the tornado, and the Eureka-style reason (the roads). The minute everyone started leaving to help, I was already thinking that Jo shouldn't go. The ensuing argument was expected and uncomfortable, well done.

I absolutely love your descriptive passages in this chapter. I could just see the woods and the run-down house in my head. Lovely.

Ok...I loved the accident scene, and the backgrounds you gave the secondary characters (your OCs)...it gave a sense of realism to the chapter. That includes the little bit about Jo's relationship with the staff in thAt lab.
The end of that scene with Parrish was so flippin' perfect! The voice was spot on. It also hinted at a grudging softness in Parrish's nature that I find consistent with the show.

Enjoying this so far. Agree with your take on this Zane: he has more edges. I think the prison time could be the differentiating factor...that, and the lack of Jo's redeeming influence.

That was- delicious. Between the heat of their encounter and the free fall as Zane is falling for Jo all over again, this chapter is a total rush. I love how, though the situation is wildly different and neither character is quite the same as when they met in the other timeline, you still get the same feelings reading this story as you did watching the show. You managed to capture my favorite parts of their relationship- Zane being completely blown away by Jo more each time he discovers a new layer of her, The softness Jo only shows in rare moments with Zane or (in a very different way) Jack, and that insane mixture of sexual tension and just plain tension. The fact they they have the kinds of fights that are horrible but eventually bring them closer together. I just really love this story!

I LOVE Carter being a total shipper! As for Zoe- I think it’s the entitlement of an only child. Both my best friend and I are both only children and often have to check each other because we are so used to being the center of our parents universe. I think the way you handled this chapter was great!

Okay, so far I love this fic! I love that Jo is pregnant- I think it’s a brilliant plot bunny and I can’t wait to see what you do with it.

Also, I was furious that Veronica actually thought Logan would intentionally have something to do with her rape or Lilly’s murder. So, Logan was a Jackass and a mess- it’s not like Lilly wasn’t a slutty, raging bitch. I love Lilly and Veronica’s relationship with her, but Lilly wasn’t perfect. And Logan is a total sweetie!

Yeah, I have Opinions about LoVo- it’s one of my all-time favorite ships...

I really liked that you integrated how different Fargo, Jo, Allison, Jack and Henry are to Zane in this timeline. The show alluded to Zane thinking something wrong with his memories before Fargo told him the truth in Liftoff. I think the behavior of all five of them towards him changed but it wasn’t shown, and that’s why his immediate thought was that he was missing pieces of his memory if they were all acting strangely toward him, not just Jo.

This was fantastic! Zane and Jo were my favorite couple to watch when the show was on (doing a rewatch now reminded me of that fact). Your dialogue and character details are right on point. Absolutely loved this!
