I love Weetzie and Dirk's dynamic too. I think she must have had a crush on him in the beginning, although it was never directly addressed. I would have liked the book to show how she really felt about Dirk being gay - accepting and tolerant, yes, but wouldn't a revelation like that be a little complicated for anyone?
