Gandalfan chapter 1 . 9/8/2014 Yeah, I really wish Elrond had just beepin' shoved him off the cliff too. |
dianaprincess chapter 1 . 9/14/2013 This was amazing! I loved the line about Elrond being a "useless moralizing weakling..." You are the best. I love all your stories. |
Yuki Suou chapter 1 . 6/18/2013 I agree. Elrond should have shoved that #censored# #censored# blasted Isildur through that blasted Crack of Doom. |
5SecstoThrowItFB chapter 1 . 11/6/2012 Kudos to you for your amazing canon loyalty except for one little detail! |
Califaction chapter 1 . 7/6/2010 Hahaha! Great job! This definitely made me smile. The best part is that this could be canon-we've certainly seen how 'unscrupulous' some Elves can be when they think it's important (cough, kinslaying, cough). Well, it could be canon /if/ Elves would ever lower their pride enough to wear Orc masks, that is! Also, I loved Thranduil's ranting, capslock and otherwise. "Why the hell couldn't Elrond just have given him a shove into the Cracks of Doom...useless moralizing weakling..." "WHAT? YOU'VE RUINED EVERYTHING!" Snicker. And Thranduil's genre-savviness was pretty awesome too. "THE VALAR ONLY KNOW WHAT KIND OF HORRORS IT'LL ATTRACT TO THIS PART OF THE WORLD!" Thanks for writing and posting! |
Riverjem chapter 1 . 11/26/2007 Interesting but...Oh dear! What language you use and with the rating of only K? Oh dear! Oh dear! (ahem) sorry, but that kind of stuff really bothers me, interesting twist though...oh dear... |
KsandraMallan chapter 1 . 8/27/2007 No, you're not the only one. Had it been me (Elrond's a little TOO nice for his own good) I would have just shoved him in and walked off whistling. *thinks* er... sorta. But yes, I thoroughly agree. |
FebruarySong chapter 1 . 7/18/2007 Hilarious. Priceless. I have nothing more to say. |
RofS chapter 1 . 7/3/2007 Hm, I see how this could work out. *grins* Great job! |
Anonymous chapter 1 . 2/12/2006 Haha. Great take on Thranduil. Although, as to your comment on Isildur getting pushed into the Cracks of Doom, remember that he was only standing there conveniently in the movies. He was probably standing at the head of the remainder of *his* army then, and the Elves weren't so undiplomatic as to take on the remnant of Men with the remainder of *their* army. Also, Isildur claimed the ring as weregild - in payment of his father's life or something. So, yeah...pretty serious claim. Not to be a wet blanket, of course...who didn't wish Isildur got a little shove in the back? (But then things wouldn't have worked out for Aragorn...) |
Eryn Lasgalen chapter 1 . 3/11/2003 I liked this story, though the capitals make it hard to read. Maybe you could use bold instead of caps? It was very original, also - Thranduil making his elves dress up as Orcs certainly never appeared in any story I've read so far! Very funny, go you! |
Showna EJ chapter 1 . 1/27/2003 Hahaha, ya, they probably should have pushed him in, but then the whole bloody story would have consisted of everyone sitting in an enclosed room and staring at each other. The only remaining plot would have been Aragorn's romances, so we would have had to listen to him moan about how 'unfair' it is that he has to pick between Éowyn and Arwen and can't he just have them both. That crap for 1000 odd pages... I don't think so. V. funny tho |
Elf of Sirannon chapter 1 . 1/21/2003 Bad Thranduil! I can see his point though...I mean, in 3,000 years time he's gonna a massive battle in Mirkwood against pretty much the same thing he was fighting against in Mordor, and he's gonna lose tons of Elves again AND coz of this stupid War his son is gonna move away from home and take EVEN MORE Elves with him to Ithilien (although Thrandy WILL give him permission to do so). I can see why he'd be pissed. |
Dragon-of-the-north chapter 1 . 1/14/2003 Very well written... Though I expect poor Thranduil must have been hoarse for the next few hundred years after that amount of shouting... Or does that fabulous Dorwinion stuff cure sore throats as well? :-D |
Salad the Deceiver chapter 1 . 12/29/2002 That was a very different and refreshing perspective on Isildur's death! Very good! More, pleeeeeaaase. Did I mention funny, witty, and dead-on? |
