I love the little details like Sam sucking on his fingers and John saying “we’ve talked about this”, lol I love your characterization of John as a man who loves his sons and is doing the best he can. The very real feelings of him just wanting some alone time when his is also sick. And then feeling guilty for feeling that way. I feel sorry for John, I will always believe that he didn’t intend for it to go on forever. I think he assumed that the demon was just around the corner, in the next hunt. Before you know it, your kids aren’t kids anymore. And finally, who doesn’t love a sick, fevered Dean and toddler Sammy. 3 I felt compelled to comment because right before I got to your story I read one that (in my opinion) was awful, but it had the same number of reviews as yours. And I felt that was an injustice that I could help fix. :) |
