Entertaining AU, great characterisation of Kirk, Spock and McCoy. I like Daphne although I suspect she is a fantasy version of the writer.

"Security to sickbay."

"What now?" McCoy muttered. He punched the button with the side of his fist, "Sickbay! WHAT?"

There was a pause and an almost audible gulp on the other end. McCoy could do that – scare the wits out of huge, tough, battle-scarred security personnel. Daphne almost smiled. If they only knew the soft soul those harsh words concealed.

Hey, this is really good. I can't understand why it has no reviews. The pace and suspense are just about right and you chose a topic I don't think I've read about before.

I think yes, the Romulan commander would have wanted revenge and what better way to do that than to hurt Spock where she knew it would have most impact - by hurting those he was close to - Vulcan or not.

I'm glad you decided to go down the route of not killing her, we both know that is not the Kirk/spock way. Congratulations on a good fic.
