Such a cliffhanger ending to a chapter. I love this story
I always wantedore Danny/Kono scenes on the show. So stuff like this just feeds what was missing. Hope you revise this one day in the future. Just one last chapter of them getting their stuff together. :).

WELL. So much for "don't get too concerned when you get to the end", considering how long it's been since this was updated haha. But if it's lack of muse for that fandom/pairing/writing in general, I get it. I'm guilty of the same!

I actually stopped watching this show a long time ago, and I hadn't thought about this pairing for even longer than that, but this story reminds me of how much I was into the idea of Danny and Kono, and how much potential was there from the beginning. It's SO GOOD. The pace is perfect, how you've captured that friendly banter and unresolved sort of tension/chemistry between them; how their connection has been deepening, slowly but surely; I love how you've set up a friendship initially too, and everyone (including Chin and Steve) is so true to character!

I won't hold any hope for this ever being continued (which makes me sad but alas), but I'm glad I found this, because it's a wonderfully-written story. Great work!

It's been so long but I just need more of these one shots. And that cliff hanger you left us with! Please continue with this!

How about moving on. You right so well and I love Danny and Kono romance. Please!

Honestly, I think a four year break between parts is a cause for concern, especially with a cliffhanger like that!

That's just not cool. I can completely understand not having inspiration to finish a story, I've been there myself.. But you SHOT DANNO! What if he dies and they never stop being oblivious buttheads? Can we please please please get at least one more chapter so we can have some closure? I love one shots and yours really capture their characters very well, I can totally see them saying these lines. So please, I beg you, at least one more!

*starts hyperventilating.* Sooooo, when you said don't get too concerned to get to the end... YOU SHOT DANNO. AFTER THAT BEAUTIFUL CHAPTER. ("But not every collision of worlds results in an earthquake." is a really great line, btw, it really struck me.) Annnd, a cliffhanger isn't a problem, unless it was last updated EIGHT MONTHS AGO. *hyperventilates* Your Danny and Kono are just too perfect and they're finally at the point where she's reacting to his feelings for Rachel (wonderful scene, really), and then he says that she didn't necessarily mean him and Rachel when he's BLEEDING OUT, and it's all too serendipitous and heartbreaking and cliffhanger-y, and it's been EIGHT MONTHS. *pantpant* Lol. I am defs one who is a thousand times worse at updating my stories, it's been years for most of them, so obviously life gets in the way and all, but if you could just post the second part of this twoshot that you said to not be concerned about, I could breathe again! Lol. Please.

Ohmyword. ADORABLE. I love this story, it is unbelievably cute, and Danno and Kono are really well-characterized. :D I especially had to review THIS chapter because apparently you/Kono had the same childhood/teen life as I did. :D One of my proudest accomplishments to date is having sat through a full extended LOTR marathon (complete with all the different Hobbit mealtimes and Lefse - we ate way too much, even over the course of 9 hours), a full Star Wars marathon (all but one of us slept through Phantom Menace, appropriately, but we made it through all the others), and up-to-that-date-complete Harry Potter marathon, up to #4 I believe. To this day, that LOTR marathon with my cousins and sister, holed up in blankets and as close to a theatre as we could make the family room, with the surround sound turned way up... that is still the best viewing of all the LOTR movies I've ever had. And every single one of us was completely obsessed by Orlando Bloom and Pirates of the Caribbean as well, we couldn't stop talking about him, when his birthday was, his favourite food, etc, and a veritable library of his IMDb facts. We also good-naturedly plotted the demise of his then-girlfriend Kate Bosworth. :P So, now that you've paired your wonderful Kono, Danny and Gracie all together with Orlando, POTC, AND LOTR? I'm even more in love with this story. :D Made me crack up with comparing Steve to Aragorn AND Legolas, so true.
