Guest chapter 1 . 8/7/2016 Omg you wrote this so effing well! Effing A |
Ladyaloysius chapter 1 . 6/22/2013 Really thought you did well with her inner self! |
USAFChief chapter 1 . 9/16/2011 Excellent. I believe you captured the very best of Ziva as I long for her to be portrayed. Strong, capable and vulnerable to her own emotions as she has grown. Thanks for this. |
adara-greenleaf chapter 1 . 12/15/2010 I think this one was in character, too. I mean, when you think about it people may not SAY what is on their mind, or what they really think, but they usually don't lie to themselves outright in their heads. Does that make sense? Basically, you are given a lot of leeway (at least with me) because internal monologues will always been more 'truthful' than what we say to others and, therefore, your writing is more open and frank. Again, I hope that makes sense. I really liked the part when Ziva says she let her new colleagues in Washington focus their anger on her because she didn't care enough about them to let it bother her if they disliked her. That was such a powerful, and very Ziva, statement. Of course, we all know how that changed, but at first, I am sure that would have been the god's honest truth. Also, Ziva recognising that Tony is the 'master investigator' under all his juvenille habits...that is fantastic and so true! The show itself lets us glimpse the 'deeper' Tony, but mostly it's his frat boy exterior we have to endure. That isn't such a bad thing, because of all his jokes, but if the joking wasn't there he'd be a total ass. As a fan of Tony, I totally know that, much like Ziva's 'skins' that she dons to hid her true seld, the whole frat boy thing is a defense mechanism for him. I really, really like that you see it, too. And I am very glad that the later seasons (5,6,and 7 especially) have let us see a deeper side of Tony and Ziva, too. This was very well written. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it! Thanks. |
ImaginePeace chapter 1 . 11/14/2010 I love it so, so much. :) |
C-Rokkk chapter 1 . 11/11/2010 omgg. i loved it. you did an amazing job and i can only imagine how hard it was to write ziva's thoughts. tons and tons of kudos, my friend. nothing but love from me. 3 |
RunKatRun chapter 1 . 10/27/2010 Another great story! After reading it I can see how writing Ziva's thoughts could be hard, but you nailed it. Another great story! |
lovering chapter 1 . 10/21/2010 OMG. That was written so well, kind of a future-fic, cuz Ziva still has more to show Tony (in my opinion), but still a fabulous job. |
thump chapter 1 . 10/21/2010 good stuff. in character you ask? i wish it were too... to many unanswered questions in the show remain unspoken/unanswered, so i also assume what you have put to words as well. |
tonyfan31970 chapter 1 . 10/20/2010 This was definitely different from most of your other pieces, but I enjoyed it. I agree with you - Ziva must be hard to write in this context. In your more off-canon stories, you know what she's thinking based on the actions she's taking, and what we know of Ziva. But here? good for you- I think you got it! |
SacredAir chapter 1 . 10/20/2010 I really enjoyed reading this - because you've written her - gotten into her mind, incredibly well. You've told her story like many viewers see it, until NCIS, her life was lacked emotion and completeness - all her life she had, as you have written, created a character that masked the true her. Truly brilliant, I can't wait to read more of you work. |
gsr4ever chapter 1 . 10/20/2010 Very nice. I liked it a lot |
Foxtail-Padfoot chapter 1 . 10/20/2010 Excellently written. Yeah, it's very very hard to write her thoughts, but you pulled it off with gusto. :) |
Hannelovestiva chapter 1 . 10/20/2010 Wow, you nailed Ziva to the teeth. :-)in my opinion. When you look at Ziva, those thoughts could easily be going through her mind.. |
YellinYee chapter 1 . 10/20/2010 This has the self-doubting and ruminating Ziva that we only so rarely see on the show (a la...beginning of season 7, say? Even though you said this is before any Rivkin-type thing). I've said it once and I'll say it again, thought you may find it difficult to write Ziva, the end result is always so wonderfully in character. :) Anyway... This piece reminds me of seasons 3-4, which were my favorite! It has the "will they, won't they" vibe written from Ziva's POV, which I definitely like. It's got so much depth that you could possibly drown in it (in a good way!). Ah, if only, if only... |
