I was wondering why on earth anyone would hire an assistant for a national championship-winning coach without that coach's knowledge and approval risking the success of program and you gave me a decent reason! Cool. My only real regret with this story is that we don't get to see VA bomb under Goolsby's leadership:( Anyway, I enjoyed the story, thanks so much for sharing.
