The guilt and regret caused him to take care of Canada and he began to fall in love. That's just cruel yet amazing. Canada accepts it all with open arms and forgiveness. |

I love the fact that Gilbert stuck around and helped Matthew through living his life blind, despite being the cause of the problem. And without ever saying a word. I can't IMAGINE how hard that would be. Just as I can't imagine how hard it would be for Matthew to forgive Prussia after learning that the man who helped him was also the cause of his distress. But it was perfect, and I LOVE that they worked past that, and even fell in love. This was such a wonderful story! |
