What an enjoyable story! I loved brave, wee Dean and his protector, Cas.

Oma God Me heart. THIS IS SO FUCKING ADORABLE! and sad as fuck at the same time..

I love the detail in this fic. In many ways, it reminds me of The Road by Cormac Mcarthy. Except in your fic there is a resolution! Which makes me happy. Kinda sad that Dean only spoke when he saw Sam though:(

Wow. This was amazingly good. Cas is a notoriously hard character voice to nail so to tell such a riveting story solely from his POV takes masterful writing and you got it just right. I loved the depiction of Dean being just as traumatized by their inability to stop the apocalypse and the loss of his brother as he was in canon by the loss of his mother. I kept waiting for him to talk and when he finally did, it was great! I really enjoyed watching Cas overcome seemingly insurmountable odds to keep Dean safe. And including the original Charlie was a stroke of genius. Bravo!

I loved this story. Poor Cas to have to go thru so much trials, of having to learn to be human in a desolate place. But still watching over Dean, even though Dean is so young. And Dean, reverting back into silence as he did when he was around that age originally. I love that still yet Dean is a fighter and unafraid of helping those he loves even in danger. I also love that Cas wonders how Dean attracts women even when young. I think you did a wonderful job with your characterizations, the angst, and the action in this story. Thank you for sharing this story with us.

This was so adorable. Still, I was wondering about like why Dean would be four. I mean, besides you wanting him to be that age, like was there a specific... like if God did bring him back or something, or why Cas is human. And the holy water thing, and a few other things but...

Oh my goodness that was such an awesome story! I really loved the plot, how you churned Cas and Dean through everything and still managed to keep their characters true.

I was so charmed by this entire story and especially by adorable four year old Dean who managed to be every bit a small, vulnerable, scared child with a brave, perceptive, timeless soul. It was really quite breathtaking. As the mother of two boys I think you got the mannerisms of a young child just right with the knuckle sucking and how clingy they are when they don't feel well. Your descriptions of Dean's misery during his bout with croup just tore me up. Poor baby! Wonderful story and I'm so glad they found Sam in the end and Dean was able to start talking again.

This was really just an amazing story. I don't even know where to begin complimenting you. I've been digging through some of your stories, and you've got a great handle on the characters, on the relationships they share with each other and the things that make them tick. Very good job.

If inspiration ever hits you for this verse again, I'd love to read more about what life is like for the boys now that they've all been reunited. But if not, I'll enjoy everything else you post. Keep up the great work.
