katherinemp chapter 4 . 1/7/2019 Why do you make me cry like dis I may be interpreting this incorrectly from your intention, but when red says “you dont have to be alone anymore” and green “accepts defeat” i feel like he is making the decision to die to go join his bb boi red. Like hypothermia and shit from mt silver, having lost his will to live without him/accepting the truth. Beautifully written and im crying in the middle of my college campus |
L.A.Holic chapter 1 . 8/13/2017 honestly, reading this years later after I first found it on ff - its still an amazing story |
Guest chapter 1 . 1/4/2016 I must say, the way the events are organised gave it such a cryptic feel that cannot be achieved when read in chronological order. Organising this story in such a way made it quite a beautiful and original piece I have yet to see another like it anywhere else. I can't help, but read it over and over again. |
Guest chapter 3 . 5/24/2015 this is kind of abrupt, maybe you wanna add another part of after green dies? cuz im not even sure if he has died. |
purexlaiton chapter 3 . 7/29/2014 this is so... haunting. although i did get confused during some parts, it all made sense in the end, which by the way, was so good! the scene where ethan talks about the unbeatable trainer, it reminds me of the theory that in the game red is actually dead. but adding green to it makes a good twist good work! i really enjoyed it! hopefully you'll write more works like this in the future |
bread chapter 3 . 7/12/2014 *wipe5 away tear* thi5 i5 5o 5ad ... and yet 5o beautiful |
deleted acoout chapter 3 . 7/8/2014 I have a feeling that green died because of that last line? I may be wrong though but that part when leaf told green that Red was dead after red 'visited' green completely threw me off. So was red there as an imagination or a ghost since Ethan battled a strong trainer atop of Mt. Silver who he finally defeated who was most likely red even though red had been dead for three years. So at the end green going to Mt. Silver somehow made him weak and when red appeared in ghost form green was close to dead and when he took reds hand he finally died joining red? Maybe I'm just reading too much into it. |
Idle-Riddle chapter 3 . 10/17/2013 I went back and forth to read this fic chronologically, and... what a fic it was. It made me teary at the end, so thank you for the wonderful fic. ") |
Mewsea chapter 3 . 10/2/2013 Yep, this was definitely sad. It kinda reminds me of your other story, Koyuki: "winds that chase sails." Ah, that one's a good one, too. Though, now I'm curious: if that wasn't Red who Ethan battled, then who was it? Dun dun dun... Oh, the mystery's killin' me. Damn it, Koyuki, why do you do this to me? Is it possible that Ethan battled the ghost of Red? When Green asked who it was Ethan battled, he should've asked what he looked like, too. That nincompoop. I'm not gonna lie, I was a little confused with the whole numbering system you got going on there. I was like, "Numbers? Ha ha, who needs them?" and kept on reading without paying any heed to the numbers. It wasn't until Part Three that I discovered what was past and what was present. Truthfully, I think you could've done the whole story with flashbacks instead, but, eh... I guess that's what makes this story unique, huh? All in all, I thought this was pretty good. It's not necessarily one of my favorites done by you, but it was still pretty good. I think what could've made it better is if you wrote what life was like after Green accepted Red's death, but it's whatevs. I'm personally hoping that Red's still alive thanks to Ethan's particular battle with that mysterious someone on Mt. Silver... Maybe I'm acting a bit like Green now? |
blueraven7227 chapter 3 . 8/13/2013 Oh my gosh. So I'll just be in the corner trying to stop bawling my eyes out now. |
Ileah chapter 3 . 4/3/2013 Aw, this is so sad, but so beautiful. It's really well written, and it flows nicely too, but it's sooo sad. No, tears, stahp. :'c |
Kimnd chapter 3 . 3/31/2013 This was incredible. The supernatural aspect of the story was mostly what kept me reading, so I kinda wish you'd had more of it in here, but I don't really care because it was powerful and effective on its own. |
Jia chapter 3 . 2/11/2013 Super emotional. Jeez... I teared up like, every other line. ;_; I love that he finally went to Mt. Snow after, though. Green has really intense denial o-o Good work! |
Chaoticphanon chapter 3 . 11/7/2012 This was absolutely beautiful. It was depressing and morbid and intense and so very bittersweet. I really liked the fact that it wasn't in chronological order; the story made me start crying so many times. ;_; Thank you so much for this story. I love you so much. 3 |
Free of Mundane Thoughts chapter 3 . 11/2/2012 Waaaah that was so depressing But but but, I liked the numbering thing. It was cool that instead of organizing it chronologically, you mixed and matched scenes to make the feelings show through more strongly. And, should we ever want to try to read it chronologically to get the plotline better, the scenes are all numbered correctly to set it up that way! How convenient. :D Thanks for that, it's rare for anyone to do that. And what's the fun of stories if you don't try new things? ;) Well, it was really depressing, but... it was a really beautiful story, and it makes me want to cry, and there's just so much TRUTH in it... Thanks a lot for writing. Really. I appreciate it. |
