Poor Rachel, she has bad luck xD And David is just creepy...

Ah, an update. One way I can always tell if Cassie is in character is if I disagree with most of what she says. I think her concern for Rachel is justified (especially since she's cracking up throughout the whole chapter and we still don't know what's up with Tobias) but some of the rest of it...it's 'monstrous' to take a human life in war but perfectly find to kill other sentient beings because they happen to be a different species? So is it also 'monstrous' for Ax to take a human life or can he kill as many as he has to and have it be no different than killing a Hork-Bajir? Neither answer is a good one. Why do the Andalites and Yeerks despise each other? Well, the Andalites are trying to stop the Yeerks from progessing and force them back onto their homeworld with Gedds as hosts if not outright killing them all. The Yeerks are planning on eventually enslaving the Andalites someday. Seems pretty straightforward to me. I don't think Cassie really needs to worry about Ax going on a murderous rampage as his hatred for Yeerks seems like a cultural thing and he only hates Visser Three (I think it's still Three, at least, though it says One in this chapter) personally. I'd agree more with part of what Rachel was saying about having taken other sentient lives although I know that Cassie and the others do tend to treat human lives as more precious than that of any other species. I'm wondering if David will ever use his Marco morph again or acquire one of the others and impersonate them. Nice inclusion of the tension between Jake and Rachel over the fact that he's the leader and, no matter what she realizes in 37, she doesn't like taking orders.

Naomi seems just a little too eager to accept that this guy who Rachel clearly doesn't like, doesn't want to stay for dinner (why is she asking someone she's just met and who Rachel doesn't like to stay for dinner anyway?), and who doesn't even know things like Rachel's parents are divorced (though obviously he's faking) is a close, personal friend of hers? They were pretty hostile to each other at the dinner itself so I just don't see how she can believe David is Rachel's secret friend. Or why she's so upset she doesn't know the names of all of Rachel's school friends when she clearly doesn't hang out with him. Ax and Jake not believing David was back was believable but Rachel confessing to her mother because she was pissed was really, really stupid and she had better hope that her mother doesn't complain to a controller about the stupid lies her daughter has been telling her.

I wonder where Tobias is and if he's okay.

Sweeeet! I like how this chapter unfolds to a cliffhanger with David at the end. Brings out the suspense and I like suspense. X3

Anyways... I loved the dialog throughout the chapter. and wow the animorphs come across as teens, they know their gender more then just the, "don't look" in the first book or 2 of morphing.

As for Marco... he actually freaked me out a bit in this, "That is true. Marco always did strike me as a horny little bastard." rahaha! ...sorry. Parts of this made me laugh .

New players, very interesting I can't wait to hear more on this .
