Hello there :) I‘m late and not sure if the author of this story is still around but I wanted to say a few things. First of all, I love this story! It really captivates me and I can’t stop reading. I’m on chapter 82 now and only started a couple of days ago! It’s written very well.
But there’s one thing that makes me feel very uneasy and makes me want to quit reading this story (which I probably won’t because there are way more things that make me want to continue) and since it’s a very major thing I feel the need to say something. It’s about the so called „spanking“. I’m a teacher and don’t live in the USA. In fact, I live in a country where any form of violence against children is forbidden. I deal with misbehaving kids all the time and never has it even crossed my mind to physically hurt a child. I know some students who have parents that hurt them at home and when I as a teacher find out about that I immediately contact child protective services and those parents get in serious trouble. I know this is a fictional story and not everything a fictional character thinks is ok automatically means that the writer thinks it’s ok as well. But I really feel like you, the author of this story, thinks the „punishments“ Shelby is giving to Rachel are ok. Let me tell you, if Rachel was my student and I ever found out about the „spanking“ I would call child protective services right away because her mother is physically hurting her on purpose and that’s never, absolutely never ok! No parent has the right to hit a child and spanking definitely is a form of violence against children. It upsets me that the reviewers seem to be ok with it as well and that there’s multiple characters in this story who know about what’s going on and no one sees a problem with it. What Shelby does to Rachel is horrible. It’s not only physically hurting her but also humiliating her and a mother who truly loves her child would never do that. I’m glad that you made it clear that Shelby hitting Rachel our of anger wasn’t ok but to me there’s no difference between hitting her when she’s angry or when she’s calm because she’s still using violence. I also don’t think it makes a difference if you „spank“ a young child or a teenager because it is and stays horrible and disgusting and is not ok. I know I am repeating myself but reading about this makes me feel sick because I know that there are real people out there who do this to their children and actually think it’s ok but nothing ever justifies using violence against a child. Nothing. Ever. After the first spanking in this story (and I had to look up what that even was btw because I just couldn’t believe that there was really violence used in this story and passed of as justified and ok and I was hoping it wasn’t what I thought it was) I had to stop reading for a good amount of time. After Shelby had been so worried in the office before Rachel moved in with her that her fathers were physically hurting her it felt very out-of-character for her to be hitting her daughter. After a while I came back to this story because I still love everything else about it. I tried to get that chapter out of my mind and pretend it never happened but it happened again, and again. At this point I can no longer ignore this. If anyone reads this and thinks „spanking“ is a good way to punish a child, please, please, please take a minute to think about it! I promise you, it’s never good and it’s never justified! Maybe google it! There are hundreds of articles pointing out how dangerous it is and what it truly does to a child. It can lead to serious mental health problems. I’ll stop this now but it’s so, so important that you understand that spanking is a form of violence and is not ok. It truly is so wrong! Please don’t do it to a child! And please don’t glorify it in stories and let characters get away with it without consequences. What Shelby does is wrong in so many ways.

This was really goid. Some plots im curious what happened next like Britanna's relationship. And hummelberry friendship. What show did she star in? Looking forward to reading more in any sequel this story has

Curious why she'd sometimes say Shelby and not Mom like when she spoke with Scott or Quinn.

Can someone please explain to me why the fuck Santana is always described as the "Latina" in almost every fic I have ever read. Brittney is the dancer and Rachel is the singer or diva. It's true that Santana doesn't necessarily have a defining trait but neither does Quinn so everyone either uses her name or the nickname "q" why can't you do the same for Santana?

Shelby is a hoot! Getting her parents to go spy on Rachel and Quinn! It’s genius! And Rachel made out like a bandit because of it. I’m really enjoying rereading this story. I love the Corcoran family. Poor Shelby getting woken up at 3am. I feel for her!

Reading this over and I love it as much this time as the first time. You have created such an amazing world in this story. I actually forgot how it all began with Quinn. I really like Quinn and Judy from the get-go. I love that you have Quinn and Rachel acting age-appropriate. And Judy is awesome, she went right into Mom-mode with Rachel. It was really sweet that Judy and Rachel got that time to themselves and R thanked Quinn for letting her borrow her mom. I miss your stories. I hope you’re able to write more soon, in any verse.

I know this is my first review of this story, and that the story has been long completed, but I wanted to tell you how much I loved the this last chapter. I have enjoyed the whole story thus far, but reading about Shelby’s dream and how much she truly loves Rachel was just perfect in my book. So many writers and readers see and paint Shelby in a negative light, not realizing how the opinions and perceptions of othersthat I personally believe had no business becoming involved at alloutside of the situation between mother, daughter, and the fathers impacted Shelby’s view of how things were for Rachel. In fact I believe had Schuster not gotten involved at all, then Shelby wouldn’t have left. She would have stayed and toughed it out with Rachel. But Will made it seem like she was going to hurt Rachel by staying in her life and that is the last thing a loving mother wants to do. I think Will only got involved because he feared Rachel would defect to Carmel High should their relationship succeedeven though he might have believed he was doing it for altruistic reasons, deep downhearted wasn’tand I think he had reason to fear that with the way Rachel was treated at McKinley High by both students and faculty, including him.

Anyway, I am going to continue to read your story and I will either write another review when something particularly moving comes up, or I get to the end of the story. Until then thank you for sharing your talent with all of us!

I remember that first time I read this and knew was Rachel wanted because it was the only left to do to make Rachel a member of her family. Only 6 more chapters and I will be done again. Looking forward to more of your stories. TTFN

Hi found another chapter where I never left a review. This chapter always makes me cry and Rachel is trying to understand that the way she see thing can and will change with time.
