I really like this story. I hope there will be many more chapters to read. I am looking forward to the next chapter and I am thrilled what decision the students which are collected in the Room of Requirement will take.
I wonder about Binns... Possibly he will also be replaced because of his rather boring history lessons...

Wow, what an awesome story! I only found this, like three or four days ago I think, and I finally got to this point. Now I can get some sleep. So I was wondering if there was a possibility that you missed something from the lake? I mean in the original Karkaroff was the Headmaster in year four so he must know some people from Durmstrang. They did have that vessel that came in from the water. But you are trying to be really as far from cannon as possible so it may not apply. Just a thought.

I have a question why hasn’t grayback switch sides now that creature are trying to fight for their own rights. It make a lot more sense for him to join their side inside of backstabbing human who see him as nothing more than a animal.
