I am currently binge reading your fics (I always do at Halloween) and realised I haven't read this one before.
I actually liked it, but there was sooooo much angst my poor heart is in pieces. I actually thought the truth was happier in ending than the lie one, in a way. There's hope in that one (and I can pretend they will live happily ever after) and there's just guilt in the lie one.
