For a bit I thought the story was going to rust.

The whole child services bet reminded me of a story I was reading about a swat team that was dispatched because a woman claimed fraud on a student loan but the fact that would scare anybody with a brain is that the department of education was the ones who gave them the order so child services doing this in the future didn't come off as to far fetched to me.

Now that I'm rereading this story it seems to mimic real life currently so well that its almost a little scary.

Looking forward to next chapter.

I really like the feeling of hopelessness the story gives me and even sinking to bringing Europe into the picture really helps the vibe. I mean otacon is barely explained except that he's in japan and has a gaming company thing going.

Wonder whats going on with him and if you'll explain that a bit more.

i have to say it again: this is a great fic! it deserves so much more attention than it has. i hope you plan on continuing it because i want to know what happens so bad.

i forgot to mention it before but i like how you incorporated elements of the game like the infinite ammo and invisible bottomless backpacks and given them the guise of magic (i always wondered where Snake put all of his guns lol)

i was going to wait until i finished to review but this is just too good :)

the idea is great, characterization is great (i never would have thought of sunny as such a badass), tone and mood is dark and satisfying... i'm really enjoying this! i really hope that you continue this because it's not everyday that you come across such well written stories like this!

In the end the millia, cops and veterans are all equally fools as they all fight, die and lose for some idiotic cause they barely understand and try to glorify.

I am very surprised that this hasn't gotten any reviews as this is a pretty good look at the after of metal gear solid.

Without all the hollywood drama and fights wars can never be solved with heroic action and the reality is that it will never go away so long as individuality exists.

Certain quote comes to mind.

Although idealism has its flaws it allows us to accomplish some amazing things but no matter what it can never defeat reality.
