elderberrys chapter 1 . 9/1/2017 Stunning! I love these character studies so much and you described Tenten so well! |
sundes2013 chapter 1 . 9/23/2014 Beautiful, wow. i LOVE the metaphor. :) |
kikuyo-chan chapter 1 . 8/4/2011 another Tenten's fanfic? It's rather short, but it still makes me excited :) |
Crazy Cherries chapter 1 . 2/12/2011 It was a little choppy but it didn't fail :) It's a really good story, awesome actually. |
The Sincerities chapter 1 . 1/22/2011 First story I've tried with Tenten in it ( which is a little surprising since she is a great character ), and I liked it. Drabbles are short and sweet - straight to the point. I think you captured everything quite well, and I don't find it choppy - but rather poetic. Why? Well, because it takes the format of a poem, almost. It's a nice style and can take a beautiful form with a little practice and smoothening around the rough edges. Unlike one of the reviewers, who's opinion I respect as much as anyother, I do not find Sakura ugly, nor mannish at all. Perhaps another word than exotic would fit her character with a greater mold, but I feel as though you described all kunoichi well. One thing that Tenten would be jealous about, would clearly be Sakura's relation to Tsunade ( as an apprentice ) and how she is stated to have even surpassed her master. Tenten has an admiration of Tsunade, so with a little linking it could dawn a new word to describe what it is about Sakura that she is jealous about. Besides that, I think everything is fine and there is nothing that you should really fix. Great job. :) Yvette. |
chandelure chapter 1 . 11/26/2010 It didn't fail! It's a great idea — and it's carried out beautifully. I love it. xoxo. |
Seynee chapter 1 . 11/18/2010 OOOH I like this! I don't think it's a failure, quite far from that, really. I like the phrases in the brackets. They work almost like a hidden afterthought, but they do not distract and that's wonderful. My favorite part has got to be the ending, "(and stronger than yesterday)". This formatting is a pain in the tuchus and I've never been able to pull it off myself, so I admire you for being able to write it like this :) |
The Pirate on Wheels chapter 1 . 10/3/2010 It is choppy. The Italiciced parts don't blend too well with the previous and following sentences, aside from the first attempt. Also, sakura isn't so exotic...she's kind of ugly, and mannish. I can't see why Tenten would be jealous of her... But yes. It's good to experiment with new styles. Perhaps you could try this a few more times, since you have some points in there, like the delicacy, the weakness, the flittery beauty, and the aspect of her being stronger than she was yesterday. Good luck. -The P.o.W. |
Lunar Maelstrom chapter 1 . 9/26/2010 Well, I liked it. The bracketed italics were a win for me - they were the hidden thoughts under the words. Or something. o.O Anyway, seeing as I've been becoming more and more fascinated with more abstract styles of writing, this one-shot satisfied my soul. Experimentation is good, no? |
Anon chapter 1 . 9/22/2010 Ah, that's a sweet drabble. A butterfly with knives, huh? |
xXSundae SurpriseXx chapter 1 . 9/20/2010 Glad to see you posting again! I know many have missed you here on the wonderful world of FF. I'm afraid that I'll have to agree with you on this one. The format is a bit strange and it breaks too much for a nice, steady flow. Now, to bore you with grammatical errors! "She was never ohso pretty..." Pretty direct mistake there. "..because hey're all beautiful and..." The 'T' is missing. I know, I know, I'm nitpicky, but I'd rather be a helpful reviewer. ) I liked the actual idea, because, in reality, Tenten is not as delicate or weak as a butterfly. The drabble was cute and short, and would be fine without the details I pointed out, in my opinion. It's good to see you writing Naruto fanfics featuring someone as awesome and life-like as Tenten. I also liked your other one-shot, though didn't get the chance to review it. I can't wait for more, Sky. I hope my review was helpful! ~S.S. |
