Nice, solid work. I particularly like the level of detail you go into with the maintenance itself, though Krios' little intro could've done with a bit more. It had no sense of location and sort of felt like Thane's head was just floating in space,watching the ship chug along - though that seems an epic image in of itself...

You have a lot of good elements going into this, but I did notice a couple of minor issues:

1) Use colors other than "aquamarine". Yeah, it's a neat color, and I liked the idea of it being his suit color, but it really doesn't need to be the color specified for near on everything interesting.

2) Check your "made"s. I'm pretty sure you just missed the "e" and spell-check didn't catch it because it was still a word, but I noticed a few slip through as "mad"s.

Other than that, I was wondering... I've seen it before, but what does M: V, L, T mean? I'm probably going to feel pretty silly when I find out, but I have not been able to place it, for the life of me!

And a note of interest: the Ichtome's name is actually a joke. If you say "vas Ichtome" out loud and without as much accent as the quatrains give it, it actually sounds a lot like "vasectomy". The other ship name mentioned in ME2 in the same sentence as that one sounds like a similar procedure, when it's said out loud.

A nice story - I can't say I have read many ME fanfics from a Quarian perspective. It was originally. I enjoyed it, and am interested to see how this works in with the original ME2 plot, what with the Normandy crew and the reaper/collector threat. It's a shame this project seem's a bit abandoned however, given from the last update date. It's also ashamed it has so few reviews. Be it abandoned or not, it provided a fair good few chapters of enjoyment and interest. This deserves more attention than it's received. Thanks for writing, LT Ashler. Appreciated.

Interesting you say Quarian are close to Japanese, most authors i read say Arabic. But I can see you point not only is the language similar but so are the social elements. Good catch. Great chapter, can't wait for the next update.

Gotta say: glad you didn't didn't kill Kala. Seems like a cool character.

I also like the form of speech you use for Nolta. Ever read a book called Rakkety Tam? similar concept of character vocalization. Anyway, nice touch.

Its nice to see that you didn't kill off Kala, is she still going to be a part of the fic of even a part of Nolta's story/life. Great fic so far can't wait to see where it goes from here.

Kala cant die, shes the one good thing that has happened to Nolta, screw the fleet, let them be happy( I'm probably going to get yelled at for this)But in all seriousness you should keep Kala alive it adds an element to Nolta's personality that would cause a drastic change to Nolta that he would not recover from, make him bitter and cynical of life if he were to lose Kala. Just my two cents.
