Whoa! Not the ending I expected, dayum!

Oh, that I did not expect. Angel was really acting like a guardian Angel here xD. Nonetheless, I did enjoy. Angel's a good guy, definitely one of my fav's.

This might be the most well-written of the "meets", I would say. Really deep and profound. Great job with this one!

Hopefully he didn't scar them too deep. There is one thought that's troubling me and that is, Nathan Martin, the pedophile bastard in Season 3, who preys on Astor. But then, maybe I'm looking too deep into this. End of the story means end of the story and whatever happens afterwards assumes nothing of the events in the later seasons. Still, I did enjoy the conversation with the kids and with Rita.

Too few words, honestly. I expected them to share a moment or so, at least...

Christine Hill, eh? Interesting... I'd like to think she doesn't end up becoming a piece of shit, like she did in the show (I seriously DESPISED her, for what she did to Lundy).

Rather shorter than I expected tbh, but I did enjoy the newspaper article. Pretty interesting! I wonder if anyone found out that Doakes was his captive. I mean, surely, considering that he was MIA for ages and came back, probably caked in dirt and filth after untold periods of detention, it would seem rather obvious.

I was actually hoping to read a fic like this. Really interesting thus far, though I must say Dexter's chipper attitude seems out of character. I would expect him to answer in a dead, cynical tone after he's turned himself in, but I guess it's all open to interpretation.

You should add a one shot from Deb's perspective when she shot Dexter

Oh jeez, this is perfect. Every character that came to visit Dexter broke my fucking heart, but I didn't fully lose it until Angel came in. Those last few lines Angel says, about how if there was anyone in the world he'd chose to be, it would be Dexter, really struck me down. Honestly, if you look at it from every angle, Dexter isn't good or bad. He does the dirty work so that people are safer, it's just that his dirty work doesn't have things like second chances or mess-ups. And then he turns himself in, unafraid of death or pain because he knows, in the long run, this is probably the one time he'll ever get to be completely free.
