FrostyChops chapter 66 . 6/19/2018 And it's done! Book one of Heroism was a helluva good read, the perspective changes between characters giving plenty of.. well perspective haha. The story events were handled well and believable from how we saw Shepard acting. His sympathising with Saren and new understanding/acceptance to what the Mission truly meant was lovely to see unfold. All in all, it was great! ONTO THE NEXT ONE! |
FrostyChops chapter 65 . 6/19/2018 Ohhhhhh shit the climactic finish! |
FrostyChops chapter 59 . 6/18/2018 Ah shit yeah ROAD TO RECOVERY BAYBEEE Damn this is such a fun read! |
FrostyChops chapter 53 . 6/18/2018 Well shit, I'm starting to see how Chains of Blood got so dark. Normally I hate it when shit falls apart, but for some reason when you write it I kinda like it. Dangit XD |
FrostyChops chapter 35 . 6/18/2018 Oh shit... oooooooh shit okay that makes a lot of things clear now. That's messed up, now I gotta read more! Curse you Setrus, ya too good! |
FrostyChops chapter 29 . 6/18/2018 Whelp, I don't know how but you managed to weaponize sugar. You did it, you killed me with cute and made me like it. Bastard ;) |
FrostyChops chapter 13 . 6/17/2018 Why do I get the feeling Shepard is a sociopath or something from the Skyllian Blitz debacle. Or more like he's terrified of not caring enough for his new crew since his lack of care for his last cost them their lives... or something. Guess I'll find out later on, ONWARDS! Really enjoying the perspective changes here, it's interesting to see how different characters view Shepard showing how multiple people can see the one person as a different person since they act differently around the individual (that made sense in my head). Different faces for different people and all that. |
James chapter 24 . 7/9/2017 I realize the stories have been done for a while but I just found them I just wanted to say that I love it |
SarcasticallySatyrical chapter 66 . 6/4/2016 I loved this story, primarily because of your excellent characters. I loved the mystery of Michael's origins and the way that you developed his character in layers. I'm really looking forward to reading the rest of the series. |
galpinre chapter 66 . 1/20/2016 I have avoided me, me2, & me3 stories, preferring first contact or post reaper stories ... yet you have made my favorite game a new & exciting adventure, thank you! I very much liked your characters, even Ash (hated biowares - yet loved yours, sad you killed her off even) ... your story kept me up too late, made me miss work and tv time, and my honey-do's ... ahh, on to your next adventure ... thanks again for your time and effort. |
galpinre chapter 58 . 1/19/2016 Wow, prefect word for this chapter |
MrGilgamesh chapter 66 . 9/14/2015 It's refreshing to see a maleshep who isn't a one dimensional captain Kirk with varying degrees of angst. Look, he needs emotional support like a human being. It's like I can relate! You actually surprised me when Shepherd's past was revealed, which was then followed by a very pleasing "everything clicking into place" moment. I also must say that it was a very original twist on the character. Another thing I liked was the way the low point for the hero was actually a low point supported by reasons and was built up to from the start of the story. Could defiantly see allot of planning went into this. Read this fanfic in a day, and soon I will continue with the next in the series. |
illuminios chapter 53 . 4/8/2015 ...Shields don't deflect fire. Neither do the barriers. Only kinetic force, remember? There is a reason this people wear armor, which can be pierced by any bullet from any weapon like a wet paper (no shielding by any combination of materials with any composition can save you from a fracture-of-the-light-speed-shot). It's the protection from thermal and chemical damage, as well as insulation. So fighting without shields is a suicide. Like Insanity difficulty with Vanguard ;-( *shudders at the haunting memories* ...That's all. Just a quick reminder of the ME mechanics that you keep raping at every step 8-) PS Aside form these little discrepancies, the story is brilliant. While just a reinterpretation with minor additions, it still has a very distinctive flavour of Good Writing. Thanks for all your hard work! |
Guest chapter 52 . 4/7/2015 You know, the one thing that bothers me throughout the story is that you refuse to harbor the notion of Wrex being a biotic. It's one of the abilities that turned him into such an awesome tank, you know. Also, the biotics. Nobody throughout the story was shown to be able to wield even the basic barriers (not shields, mind you). It's like they don't even exist! Which is sorta frustrating to see, because ALL asari are capable of biotics. And Matriarchs and Commando - even more so. Hence my suspension of disbelief breaking apart when I watch scenes like Noveria's and Virmair's finale unfold. I mean, if you change one of the key mechanics of this Universe (every asari Matriarch is a one-man-army with them, also social and cultural implications of this...) to better suit your narrative, you should supposedly mention it in AN somewhere. It's supposed to be a common courtesy, Methinks. Tl;dr Thanks for the story, you are awesome, don't forget that Wrex is a hell of a Vanguard, the existence of barriers is a major bit of change on your part. |
Alden Kessler chapter 11 . 2/26/2015 I'll admit I was hesitant to read these mass effect stories because the first work of yours i found was "chains of blood" and im still not emotionally recovered from that story. But damn, you sure can write am amazing story. |
