great story. I love stories that focus on Cassie and Jack. The show never really did. They focus on Sam and Cassie sometimes but I would see or maybe imagine that Jack and Cassie were close to.

You could make some of those moments a little clearer as to what it is they're talking about. As it is there are two moments when they know what they're talking about but I, as the reader, haven't got a clue (like at the end "talk" - you lost me there.)

Anyhow, I did like it so job well done there, just add a little something to the story part of it. It's okay to write more, explaining what you mean doesn't take away from the powerful-ness of the conversation any - it simply clairifies any confusion.

I really love Cassie, and I wish she'd played more of a role in SG-1. But that's what fanfiction is for, right? I really enjoyed these moments between Jack and Cassie. Your title is great, by the way. Very fitting.

Lovely story about Cassie. I always love stories that involve Casssie whether young Cassie, teen Cassie or grown-up Cassie. And she had to end up joining SGC because she was there when the team came through from 1969!
