Holy crap! This was an AMAZING chapter! I mean really, it had me on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading! And I love that your following the storyline in a similar way but just with alternative events leading up to it. Like this is a perfect example of how a alternate universe story should be. Also great plot twist at the end, wasn't expecting that at all!

With that being said, I cannot wait for the next chapter! Keep up the good work!

Ok wow wtf happened i feel like a lot happened. Also I’m sure naruto can get his arm fix he has the nine tailed fox in him all they gotta do is bring his missing arm and attach it to the area while his nine tail Chakra is flaring. I just really hope naruto’s future doesn’t get hindered because of this.

Woah woah WOAH! What the hell?! Did Naruto just lose half of his arm?! Oh my God! Man, poor kid. It's going to be pretty hard for him. Tsunade will have to return for sure at this point and Sakura will have to work hard to build better chakra reserves. He saved her though! I just hope he doesn't end up despising and blaming Sakura for having lost part of his arm.

Kakashi better hurry up with a seal for that curse mark, otherwise the same thing will happen as in the past. Thankfully, our amazingly talented Sakura was able to deter some of its effects. I want them all to get back to Konoha and be safe already. They are definitely bound to be in the hospital for at least a week.

Thank you so much for the update! You definitely didn't disappoint and effed things up to another level. Things are bound to be screwed up between all of them, or this experience will bring them closer together.

Btw, why the hell didn't summon a bunch of clones when trying to hold up Sakura and Sasuke? Summoning some clones beforehand would have also possibly helped with preventing the loss of one of his limbs. Hmm, since Naruto and Sasuke didn't have the big fight and lose their arms in Sakura's future, she won't know about harvesting of Hashirama's cells in order to create a new arm. So maybe this is where Tsunade will come in as well.

Changing the future always has consequences but damn...they were particularly bad this time around. You really know how to up the stakes (what with Sakura's missing memories) and keep the tension high, even if we know that Team 7 will ultimately make it through - just not in one, whole piece (poor Naruto!).

I also found it really cool how Sakura interfered with the curse seal, it was logical and very creative at the same time. But I shudder to think at the consequences of using her chakra to the limit like she did will have on her fragile body...

I have my fingers crossed Naruto will be okay and maybe Tsunade will be there to find a solution for him? Idk, I just know my poor child needs to be okay! And Sasuke and Sakura as well ;-;

(I also enjoyed how Sasuke really wanted to save Sakura, yay for stronger bonds btwn them all! Nothing like a brush of death to strengthen them lmao~)

Where do I even start with this one? That ending. Oh boy. I didn’t see that coming at all. Is this going to be a permanent injury or will Tsunade save/regrow his arm a la canon? It’s a hell of an obstacle for Naruto when he’s still a little brat.

I have to say I was wondering whether or not the curse mark would be averted. It seems kind of like a foxed point to me - no matter where they are, Orochimaru will always come after Sasuke and take his measure. Poor Sakura, she tried her best to avoid it. I find it fascinating that Sakura’s memory came back once he got bitten; it’s like the path opened up again? If, as she suspects, the mark is the root of Team 7’s destruction, does she now remember what happened because events may go similarly to before? Parallel branches of the tree? I love your logic for this.

Also, really impressed that you made this first confrontation with Orochimaru as iconic as the Forest of Death. I could picture it do easily as an animation, with Sakura and Sasuke standing on the surface of the water, the way he ran across it in his fight with Orochimaru and - did I catch this right? Another tomoe in the Sharingan to save Sakura? I love that this was just as good, but because the situation was different I couldn’t predict how the confrontation would end at all.

I wonder if Sakura’s interference will make the mark weaker this time around. I am very excited for whatever you have planned next! Literally the best naruto fic i have read in years - I’m so glad you came back to it.

first - NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. NARUTOOOOOOOOOO. *crack* My heart just broke in two :'(

second - seriously. you devilishly good writer you. writing about the hit and then waiting until the very end to reveal poor Naruto's arm... BOBBING IN THE WATER. ACK. just when I thought ONE member of team 7 would make it out of this unharmed (or undigested or uncursed).

third - i am so keen to see where this goes from here. i guess out of anyone losing a limb, Naruto is the one who would bounce back the quickest and hardest. so I think he'll be okay. he'll also be so immensely proud and happy that he saved Sakura's life! ... but how on earth Kakashi will manage to explain Sakura should be amusing. also Sakura's talents now being revealed and having a giant target painted on her back should be... terrifying? And what will happen to Sasuke now remains a huge question mark.

fourth - seriously. this story is brilliant. my only request is, once things have calmed down again. can we have some lighter, comic and heart warming scenes again to balance out all the horror and trauma? like, just to calm my soul, please?
