Whoa, poor Draco :c
Being influenced and so weak he blindly follows whatever Bellatrix is doing to Hermione. You can tell he doesn't want to be there, and torture her in this fic, yet he's still succumbing to whatever he is fighting against. (Which seems to be something more personal rather then the war)

This is a great one shot that was very well written!

How spooky (; I loved it. Draco is mostly portrayed as emotionless in the movies/books, besides his tendency to anger and that stint in HBP-but that's at times unrealistic, so I'm glad you didn't make it so ! If this is losing your mind (and especially with/if Draco's involved) I'm all for it )

Nice work, can't wait to see what you write for the next challenges !

I really like this. The only thing I could see being changed is the end. Maybe it could finish here:

"But from the floor, she laughs, a high, insane sound and he hears himself joining in."

It's chilling, that she laughs at being struck, and that he - whether from nerves or a moment of brazen mindlessness - joins in.

Or, if you want to keep your finishing sentence, I would change "come up" to "are" - it's a little simpler in the context of the sentence.

Very good drabble though. I'd like to see more.

Incredibly well written (Well all your fics are, but I did like the way you wrote this. It was sharp and concise! :D)

I enjoyed how you had an image of Hermione slapping Draco. I thought that was really well done as it is almost a reminder when he was just a stupid schoolboy and how he was a bully basically. It sort of makes me think that this is a little reminder of his past and how his future will become much darker and more sinister. I also liked the fact that Bellatrix laughed because it shows this idea that she thinks: "Yeah Lucius brought him up, so he is bound to be weak." (I don't know whether this was your intention or really your opinion on what Bellatrix thinks of Lucius bringing up Draco?)

Oh I love this line: "Greyback's twisted grin." It shows this idea that Greyback is really sinister, but could also relate to this idea that Draco fears Greyback because of course he has probably heard all these stories about him and how he lusts for blood and it isn't even full moon. I thought that was a nice little touch...

I also liked the lines: Fear, anger, rebellion because that is exactly how Draco probably feels at that point. Draco is scared because he doesn't know what Bellatrix will uncover in his mind and he is scared of the task ahead of him. Anger- because I guess this relates to his arrogance and how he feels that Bellatrix is invading his secrets. Rebellion- because I think secretly that is what Draco wants to do, he wishes that he has the courage to say "no." to Voldemort, but clearly you know unless he wants a death wish then unfortunately he can't.

Very nice bit there with Draco hitting Bellatrix.. I get the impression here that this is a metaphor for how Draco wants to fight back at the dark arts because he may have already realised that it isn't him, or subconciously.. he may have realised, but mentally he isn't aware of it yet. (I hope you get my meaning.. if not I shall discuss it with you further :))

Then the last bit with Draco having his defences flawless that was a nice bit to end on showing that he succeeded, but I really can't help wondering Azzie whether Draco secretly wants Bellatrix to know his true feelings to sort of get it out there (or subconciously he does )that he needs help with killing Dumbledore, but I don't know whether I am just analysing it too much.

Anyway great work! I have really enjoyed reading this :D.. It is very effective with the few words that you have. It is amazing idea! Just perfect really..

OMG! That was brilliant, Az! Really wondering. I can just HEAR Bella's mocking cackle... wanting to push him further and further. And I love how Draco attacked her - that was the icing on the cake! D It was almost sweet how Bella didn't teach him a "lesson" after that - how they both just laughed. ]
