Great story, I've read this twice over the years.

You should've just left it at "I'm going because I feel like I need to fit in". Seriously, that's a PERFECT reason.

His intentions are a little weird. Hogwarts was his normal, what's he doing borrowing the muggles version? A muggle school isn't going to *feel* normal to him. If it's peace he's looking for you should've given him a better reason to want to go to school. And hell, needing a diploma to fit in isn't good enough because that could've been faked along with the rest of his new ID.

Kansas? Specifically Smallville? Smallville is patterned on at least one of three real small cities in the state (all three are, in fact, neighbors of each other - and I have been to all three due to that rather quaint fact); Manhattan, Leavenworth, and Lawrence.
1. Leavenworth - in addition to two prisons (one military and one civilian), it is also home to the Kansas Highway Patrol (their version of the State Police) and a branch of the University of Kansas. The Army Command and General Staff College is also here.
2. Manhattan - Splits the difference between Lawrence and Leavenworth - it is home to Fort Riley (the Big Red One mobilizes here).
3. Lawrence - home to the main campus of the University of Kansas. (The first made-for-TV post-apocalyptic movie - "The Day After" was shot mostly in Lawrence.)

This is really good. It's very interesting how you did with Isabel I hope that you update at some point in the future though but great story

This is such a great story. I love how Harry got all that knowledge through the skill set downloads. I love that Albus had a real plan for training him. I like Walt and Marie. I like tehnomancy. I like Harry helping Lana and I can't wait for Jason to meet her afterwards and be shocked that Isobel is gone ruining all his mother's plans. Jason meeting Harry was awesome. You know, Lana going away to learn magic fits into the Smallville canon though just years earlier than in the series. Thanks for writing.
