I reread parts to remind/refresh myself on some of the plot points and there’s one glaring-ish inconsistency... the first half the story is full of Inuyasha vs Hideki and second half just sort of forgets Hideki’s ego. In the second half, even Kikyo’s “transformation” feels like it came out of left-field... in one chapter, the tension between Hideki and Kikyo is so real, so relatable, and then all of a sudden - it’s crossed into this weird territory that doesn’t fit either personality. (A bit like the mixed up Elizabeth storyline, though you mentioned in your ANs that you’d be letting that one go on purpose). And of course Hideki’s decisions contrasted glaringly with Kagome’s, and so the ending felt very forced/deux ex machina.

This probably won’t make a difference but I figured I’d mention it... overall, it’s still a captivating story and I just wish that it had gotten the attention it needed for it to end as intended! Oh well

Wow, this was quite a journey. Where do I start?

First, you wove such a unique and detailed story that I was convinced that this was a crossover with something else. The way the characters discussed the mechanical features, the race strategies, even the sponsorship deals... that stuff made it all seem real. I couldn’t put it down. It was totally enthralling.

Second, and this was truly special, the struggles of both Kagome and Kikyo were beautifully articulated. In fact, at times, it felt almost too real. It was painful to be put through those experiences alongside them. I hated watching Kagome fall.

Third, it sucks that you didn’t get the love and reviews you deserved during the writing phase. I’m sure that must have been demoralizing. I think I can understand why the end wrapped up so quick... though I’m glad we got our happy ending, it’s really hard to know I won’t get to see how our characters got there. I was rooting for Kagome as she fought and I wish I could have been a part of her climb back up.

Overall, I think you wove a complex and intriguing story with an emotional backdrop that’s near impossible to get right. You definitely got it right.

InuYasha is my sweet baby cherub pie face, and while I am not entirely certain what that name means, I cherish him in this story. He is so strong willed and likeable, and it just works for him.

His relationship with Kagome is something else. Obviously, it wasn't easy to get to a point of strength, but they managed. There were times where I wanted to shake both character and yell at them to open their eyes. But it looks like my frustrations were unfounded. They grew together well, and they were better off for all the hardships they faced. Now, I do have to wonder if their relationship turned monogamous or not, because I do not believe it was mentioned either way. With the root of their issues stemming from the racers life style, I had to wonder.

Kikyou and Hideki were really well done as well, and I was just as invested in their relationship as I was with Kagome and InuYasha's, and if I'm being honest I really gravitate more toward the InuYasha and Kagome storylines. You're breaking me out of my mold though, so thank you.

I really don't know what I can say to this story other than wow. I loved all the details the character relationships, but my mind is too muddled to leave any specifics. I read through this story so quickly because it sucked me in and as a result I seem to have glossed over the struggles these couples faced because they achieved happiness .

Thank you though, for allowing me to go on this journey. I loved every minute of this masterpiece.

I'm rather enjoying this story, though I have to say this is probably the longest I've ever read without some good interaction between Kagome & Inuyasha. I like the background you've been building around the characters.

I knew she was going to be a great competitor, didn't realize she'd be the best though. I noticed you introduced the blonde as Caroline, but kept calling her Sarah afterwards.

I understand that racing is more Hideki's thing that Inuyasha, but Inuyasha rarely speaks.

This may have taken five years but it was worth it!

I can't believe it's all over! I cried quite a lot in these last two chapters and I'm still angry that Naraku got away, hopefully he choked on a grape and died. I loved the ending and even though Inuyasha didn't break the two minutes barrier, at least a part of him did.

Ahhhh I don't care about the HEAT races lol but you can't leave me hanging like that!

I just can't believe your cliff hanger! Hope next chapter won't take that long, though I doubt it since you've started Rewind Me thingy. Amazing description abilities, I can totally imagine everything... literally. Keep up the good work!

I'm currently trying to keep my shit together right now! I don't even know what to say other than I need the next chapter in my life ASAP! This cliffhanger was perfect and all the intensity of this chapter was great, can't wait for the final chapter!

Oh my! Just a few days ago I was remembering on how good this story was and how much I missed it, I'm so happy you're back.
I'm glad Kagome's finally going on the right track I mean, with a man as amazing as Inuyasha, she really needed to step it up for him, he's been waaay too patient and good to her, I just love him. Hopefully their relationship will get better from now on.
As for the Kikyo part, it's good she got the courage to stand up to Hideki, though it is a bit of a twisted way. Anyways, I enjoyed how it turned out at the end.
About Sango, hopefully she'll stop from trying to drag Kagome back with her and Miroku, even if its on selfish interest.
