Oh gosh, this was great. Your writing is really lovely and I really like the apporach you took to this. The immortality theory is especially interesting and I like how Hope was the first to bring it up. It seemed like a really Hope-like thing to do. Lightning's calm responses to his advances were amusing, too, as well as the final scene in which she turns the tables.

This is quite possibly the best Hope/Lightning fanfic I've ever read. I enjoyed it from beginning till end. It's sweet but narrated in such a down-to-earth tone, somehow it just fits the characters (I hate fanfics with an overly whiny/depressed Hope and overly emotional/emotionally stunted Lightning), though you never really explained why Hope and Dajh aged, but the rest of the gang did not...

Hm...

I like the concept of your story. Immortality, eh? This story might inspire me to write another story for my favourite pairing. Anyway, I enjoyed reading the story. It's a good one. :)

Right there with ya on the obsession. One massive fic and a prequel in progress later and I'm still on the Hope/Light bandwagon :P. The one-shot was sweet and real - a very pleasant afternoon read, with an interesting immortality twist to boot!

I love this story. The characterizations and interactions between Hope and Lightning are perfect. I love the slow build-how you clearly have their friendship established, how they're standing on equal footing, and how when Hope begins to make moves, they're slow and small, allowing Lightning to adjust. It was just SO well written. I would love to see more of this pairing from you.

I also loved the idea that they are still immortal, but not crystallized. My only question, because I'm curious, is why did Hope and Dajh continue to age, but no one else did? Will they stop aging once they hit a certain age or something?

HOMMMMGGGG. Not only is this beautiful, romantic, and SO well-written, but I love your interpretation of the l'Cie legend! Brilliant! It never did say that the l'Cie would spend eternal life inside of the crystal, did it? And it would explain why all the l'Cie eventually break out of their crystal. Hmm, food for thought...
