I am so happy that I stumbled upon this, because I have been absolutely yearning for fics that focus on Gyatso and Aang and this is exactly what I wanted. I love this, and I wish it was longer and that there was more, but at the same time it works so well as it is - it's short, but it's so full of emotion I almost want to cry because Gyatso only wanted what was best for Aang and he never ever hid that fact. You have a wonderful way of wording things. Thank you so much for this wonderful fic!

Very sweet and touching story.

It's so great that Aang did have someone looking out for him, when other adults would see him only as the next step in the cycle, nothing but the Avatar, that Gyatso just wants to give him this, for as long as he can, is lovely to see.

Oh man, I love Gyatso. He really understands what Aang needs. Always needed. To be a kid. Because he can't be the avatar if he isn't at least allowed that.

"All work and no play" - geniuses and Chosen Ones are no exception. Good thing he had Gyatso watching out for him.

Not only do I recognise and love the title, "Flower on the Precipice", but the story is beautiful and innocent in so many ways. Still love having so much of your writing to meander through.

Awww. He must have protected him crazily well for the next six years, for Aang to turn out to be such a total slitherer-outer. What were the elders THINKING? You can't do that to kids, obviously, but equally definitely you can't do that to Air!

I suppose all the traveling worked. It was classifiable as Avatar training, but he got to just mess around.
