The iron in th cemetery burned Sookie. How, in modern times, had she not known about or dealt with an iron ‘allergy’?

So, did Sookie forget about her ‘friends’ Sam & Tara or just figure they didn’t need rescuing since they were in cahoots with Franklin & Mickey? I figure they deserve to have their asses left behind, but it’s so un-Sookie-like not to throw a tantrum, insisting that her loser pals be saved too.

Eric ought to leave her bitchy ass with Russell & just let try to rescue herself. She’s so delusional! It’s not as if she even managed to free the three on her own. She needed the gnome’s help, Ferguson advice, & Eric’s blood just to accomplish that.

Am I the only one that has difficulty finding Sookie’s appeal? I’m guessing there’s maybe 2% of the stories where I don’t want to throttle her. The Eric characters are what keep me reading & hoping for better versions of Sookie!

So the vampire, the elf, & the werewolf all decide to brawl & let Sookie get carted away? I’m confused.

Yeah, see I think the best way to start any E&S story is to kill Bill & Sam both within the first chapter or two...

RE: you author’s note about the SVM characters seeming different after TB. I wondered how much impact selling rights for the TV show might have impacted CH, because it sure seemed like she started turning on her own characters somewhere around mid-series of the books. I was a latecomer to both the books & TB, both were over before I got to them, but seemed really odd the way that the earlier books were building interesting potential in the characters, especially Sookie, then suddenly everything went to Hell. Sookie got more & more annoying and Eric got raped for another 200 years. ‘Cuz that’s what fantasy fiction readers really want to read, right? Ugh!

And Stupid Sookie never learns, never listens, and always puts Eric at risk to save her dumb, stubborn ass. I do question his taste most of the time...

Alcide then Mickey, then The Torture Twins — that group wasn’t bad enough? You had to totally gross me out by including Bill too?

Doesn’t matter how good looking he is, Alcide always turns out to be a pig (in wolf’s clothing). Seems like Sookie could do Maria Star a good turn & point Alcide in that direction though.

Doesn’t seem like much of a ‘deal.’ She was already about to have sex with him before they were interrupted. So he’s doing everything for what she was already going to do without him doing those things. Business as usual for Eric in regard to Sookie, but how does Sookie not view the deal she just offered him as a type of prostitution?

Seems odd that Gran wouldn’t encourage Sookie to try to read her mind when she’s saying she’s sorry but was compelled not to say anything else.
