Reviews for Heroes and Fools
red for revolution chapter 1 . 12/27/2014
I really like this - I suppose the note was to do with Gavroche - 'little people' and all of that. It's almost chilling, the way they sent back the body like that. But in any case, I feel so bad for his widow, and then almost losing her child. It was a lucky coincidence that Javert was there to save her!
rebecca-in-blue chapter 1 . 10/29/2014
I absolutely love this story, and what a creative take it is, and how much depth it gives to Javert. Especially his reaction to Renoit's death, which is so intense and restrained at the same time. Really wonderful work.
Stephaniesaurus chapter 1 . 8/27/2013
What was that shattering noise? Oh, it's okay, it was JUST MY HEART SMASHING ON CONCRETE. Who needs feelings when you've got well-written and sad Javert-centered fanfiction.
smaller chapter 1 . 5/5/2012
Wow. Tragic, and very well written. This is definitely going into my favorites. Poor Javert.
Rosenkavalier chapter 1 . 12/29/2010
Antoine? I'm not alone! I've always thought it a far more Javerty name than Emile. He always seemed like an Antoine to me. I have no complaints; I think it's perfect.
Nimue I Am chapter 1 . 9/11/2010
I always thought that it would be interesting to read a version of the original novel, particularly the last chapters, written outside the barricade from the side of the Law.

Javert is an intriguingly simple and complicated character. Your twist is an interesting one and you have a talent for descriptive storytelling.
AmZ chapter 1 . 9/10/2010
It's nice to see a police story around here. And of course, the fact that Javert comes out the hero is just fantastic. There are too few stories that focus on the positive side of a cop being entirely devoted to his duty.
