'Amazing' simply doesn't do this piece justice, but it's the only adjective I can come up with at the moment.

I also got the idea for Miranda's return awhile ago, and I wondered if there were already any fics that graced the subject (and ideally, if it were she and Jack that meet up). This is absolutely better than anything I could have ever come up with.

I also LOVE the 'hawk'. I totally didn't expect the symbolism/personification thing you did at the end, but it definitely took me by surprise. I was actually reading this with my husband and we both had the epiphany at the same time. It was like, *look at each other...GASP, the hawk is-!* ;D

I know it would be hard to cap the poignancy of this sweet little vignette, but I'd love to see more of your writing featuring Jack and Miranda. I really like how you've crafted her character from what little knowledge we really have and how you've formed her interactions with Jack.
