I really liked reading this fic. Especially because of it's bitter-sweetness :P

I liked your use of the metaphors and I thought they were really good because I thought they fit the context perfectly :)

Just one point of criticism?

It's "couldn't help but wonder", not "couldn't help it but wonder"

But other than that I enjoyed it :) aside from the fact that they don't end up together :(
