It's far from a bad story. I won't give a rave review because of reasons you stated yourself in one of the author's notes. The fic is an intellectual wank, as you put it. It just landslided towards the end and I can understand how it's difficult to continue anymore. For the hypothetical goal of getting the story finished I'd suggest rewriting from the beginning. That way you could tone down the stands' power levels and use more crossover elements from the beginning. Jotaro could join in the Ranma storyline at a different point, too. If he met Herb right away, but was still mourning and not ready for a relationship, you could use that to create more pressure against the main character - Something that was missing throughout the whole story.

alright so the obscure (to me) crossover part made me avoid this for quite awhile. i diddnt really like the idea of no ranma and so i was kinda put off. i feel like slapping myself. awesome story love how its going so far and you make the stands relatively easy for people to understand who dont know about em pairing works perfectly i think and hope to see more updates.

I was looking forward to this update for months. However, I was actually expecting something a little more exciting. Oh, the fight scene did not disappoint me but it seemed a bit tame after all I've read. Or I may need to read it again. I do like how Jotaro has found a lover that can satisfy both his/her sides. Or either or. I can't wait for a lemon involving Male Herb and Female Jotaro. Their return to Nerima would definitely be something that the ones who fear him were going to feel. Hopefully, Akane's fine and so are the rest of Jotaro's friends but judging by the end of the chapter none of the annoyances have done anything. Genma is gonna try something again, but that's what makes it fun since he'll fail and get hurt. He can't exactly force Jotaro to marry the Tendo daughters if none of them want to marry him and Akane seems likely to break him in half if he tries something. Now, Ginger's downfall was a long time coming, but I was actually hoping for Herb to confront his father and beat him within an inch of his life. But when you mention Hinako the next time, I wonder how she will deal with Jotaro. The principal might've told her something biased and she decides to do something about it. It'll backfire, that's for sure, or maybe Renma tries to help her like he had helped Happosai. I mean he disliked Ryoga and Akane on their initial meetings but after some interaction they started to get along. It seems that first impressions don't really matter to Jotaro all that much. If a person changes for the better then he gets along well with them. Or at least is kind enough not to cause any bodily harm to them. And from what I've seen Jotaro is practically willing to murder anyone who pisses him off. Jotaro's kindness is more subjective. He shows it to whoever deserves it and is cruel to those who don't. Like the Kunos, Mikado, Azuza, the general Amazon population, the Tendos and Genma. Anyway, just to finish my review, I again look forward to the next update and hopefully I don't need to wait months. Maybe it's because the content of these few chapters were not based on any existing Ranma content and was original and you wanted it to be good. The Hinako thing was in Ranma so you have a general plot to work with. You're also good at skimming through certain insignificant events that could be categorized as fillers. Love your story. I am curious about whether Herb will end up pregnant before he/she changes back. Being that Herb will be locked as a girl for at least a month with Jotaro, and no protection. Especially after you went to all the trouble to explain that each change resets his/her biological clock.

Just thought I should ask.
