Reviews for The Haunting of Peter Newkirk
cimmer chapter 27 . 6/12/2016
Amazingly wonderful story and very dreamy. I liked how everyone was involved including Klink and how Hogan held his own against Dru, amazing that. Spike was in top form and Schultz was very helpful.
momgobloo chapter 27 . 3/3/2016
I just found this and thoroughly enjoyed it! The Spike/Dru characters were spot-on, the story had me scared, but Mr. Jones was hilarious! Great job!
peanutbutterjelly-pie chapter 10 . 3/17/2014
Well, the story thickens more and more :)
Newkirk's sleepwalking, the biting-marks and now the Tolaeth (which is an interesting story for itself, by the way)! It's not an easy life to be a POW, huh?

The meeting with Spike was very entertaining! I loved his surprise as he realised that Newkirk wasn't in fact an old lady xDD I'm eager to see more of their interactions!

It is at least good they have a "Vampire Hunter's Manual" in the camp (and considering that Hitler was such a fan of the supernatural, not very far-fetched) and a Schultz who is so concerned about poor Newkirk He is such a cutie pie and I love their conversations very much!

Now I'm very excited what happened to Newkirk, with the omen of death at his back!
peanutbutterjelly-pie chapter 5 . 3/15/2014
Aw, poor Newkirk ...
First he got shot and nearly died, now he's hexed, sees and hears creepy things and everything he touches goes terribly wrong! And now this very inconvenient inspection! He isn't a very lucky bastard, is he? *sighs* I really would like to give him a hug ... or two ... or just tons of hugs!

But I LOVE Spike :D He's my favourite ever since, his humour and his badass-attitude is always very entertaining! I'm really looking forward to see him interact with Newkirk
Fortune Maiden chapter 27 . 3/27/2013
This story is really great! (I was a bit skeptical about reading it at first because of its supernatural themes but its really really great!)

I love how you incorporated the Russian fairy tales! I just had to read Vassilissa the Beautiful for class so I recognized the 3 horsemen even before you officially introduced them (and Baba Yaga of course.) And love the whole thing with the egg (the frog princess is my favorite)

Glad that everything worked out in the end for everyone. Schultz was just amazing in this story.
Abracadebra chapter 1 . 4/9/2012
I just read this for the first time over the last two days and was blown away. And I am not a fan of the supernatural genre- but this one as so carefully constructed and so tense. Not to mention very funny! I will go back and reread it soon and leave a more thoughtful review but for now I just want to say I was so impressed and so happy I stumbled across this!
emeraldarrows chapter 27 . 1/15/2011
A very unusual and unique story. I've never been particularily fond of vampires (Dracula scared me, Twilight was ok only if I pretended they weren't vampires which wasn't hard, and everything else disturbed me).

But you did a great job on this ff and it's very facinating.:)
SimoneSez chapter 27 . 11/9/2010
Wow; it's finally wrapped up! I feel exhausted just reading it. ;-) And I think I might have to rent some "Buffy"; I've never seen it but I'd like to get a look at Spike and see if he's how I pictured him from your writing. I've already dug into your new collaboration with Marie1964 and am enjoying it so far. You're a very prolific writer!
Hokie4Hogan chapter 27 . 11/8/2010
I really liked this story even though I don't really like vampires. I thought Spike and Newkirk's interactions were really funny and well-written. I like the way you wrote their dialogue; I thought it made the story a little lighter and funnier since I tend to think of vampires as dark and menacing all the time. I like how the story wrapped up; I'm glad Newkirk gave the tea to Baba Yaga. It was sweet somehow even though he was terrified. I also thought Klink got a chance to be brave in this story which was nice to see. He can be clever every now and then! Thanks for a great story.
Nitestalker chapter 27 . 11/6/2010
it was a nice adventure. I think the witch is the best person to guatd the egg and it was nice of Newkirk to give her the tea. Thanks for the story.
Jinzle chapter 27 . 11/6/2010
What a wonderful story with a great ending. Looking forward to your next story.
Crystal Rose of Pollux chapter 27 . 11/6/2010
Glad everything seems to be resolved, and that the team is all together again.

The interaction between LeBeau, Newkirk, and Carter was adorable in this chapter, particularly when Newkirk is tell them not to ask questions-and Carter promptly asks, "Why not?" Classic Carter...

And, as a Hindu, I loved that you had Hogan quote/paraphrase the Bhagavad Gita!
ColHogan chapter 27 . 11/6/2010
Good thinking on Newkirk's part to give the egg to the witch to guard as it is too dangerous to be protected by mortal men with it's deadly power after reading the last sentence. Also glad Newkirk is off the hook with Mr. Jones and that Newkirk is on friendly terms with the witch now. Hated to see this story end because it was wonderful.
Deana chapter 27 . 11/6/2010
Awesome story! Great job! I LOVED it!
Bits And Pieces chapter 27 . 11/6/2010
That truly was an excellent story, and you told it very well. I'm sorry to see it end, but at least now I'll have one less temptation to procrastinate on my own. LOL I had a feeling Newkirk would do that, and I think Hogan suspects what he did, as well. And Jones ended up being okay, after all. :-) Oh, and that last line was quite chilling.

Awesome job! Thanks for sharing this with us; I really enjoyed it!
