I do enjoy this story, and yes, it is quite well-written, but I think I should bring something up: an experience as traumatic as an attempted rape doesn't precisely lend itself to expressions of intimacy. I understand the desire to put them in an emotionally charged situation, but if you're going to put a character through something as serious as rape, then they should react accordingly.

Other than that, good work! You really know how to pull heartstrings.

I totally love this story! I love the voice you've given John. It really feels like a diary, but still with enough of a story to tell us what happens in the day's events. I love the wry and slightly sarcastic edge it has, it really feels like John's talking to himself or us. I love the way you're developing the emotion slowly but not too slowly. I just love this story to death!
