excellent! you write an internal dialogue for eric very well. he's a difficult character to capture, but i think you struck upon his dueling natures just perfectly.

I loved this short story. Very good grasp of their characters. I would think this is exactly what they would have thought and how they would react. Eric is not comfortable with weakness and his reactions were perfect. Sookie always wishes to comfort as it is in her nature, even to someone she thinks is pure evil. She finds he has something good inside even if he does not admit it.

I enjoyed the short story...wish of course it would continue.
