This was good!

I like that Gale looks good now that his potential isn't stiffled. I like the part in the end where Katniss feels finality, peace, happiness.

Great story

Wow, this was a lot! My face is leaking water, I completely teared up at this, it was really moving and very beautiful! I thought the back to Capitol/Washington moment was a little too much, with how everything was so picture-perfect if you will, and happy and in honour of her, it made me cry, but compared to the rest of the story it was a little too wonderful to me. It was however the '... For never forgetting what our freedom cost us' line that made me cry the most. But all in all, all of it was really lovely and I enjoyed reading it so much! Thank you for sharing!

I know I'm late to the party, as one who got on the bandwagon late even by movie standards, and only just read the books, but I just wanted to tell you how wonderful this was. Some kind soul linked through to it from a rant-filled page on which so many like me bemoaned the overly rushed, emotionless, and seemingly thoughtless end to Mockingjay. While it may have been overly sentimental in spots, this was a beautiful expansion of SC's absurd paragraph of conclusion to an amazing series. I am actually going to print this out (with slight modifications for my own imaginings of the story!) and place a copy in the last pages of my book so that I will be able to read it properly, in sequence, when I next make it through the trilogy. This has finally given me something to look forward to. Thank you for sharing your well crafted ending with the rest of us!

Much more complete feeling than canon, liked Peeta being named for the district rep, and Katniss honoring her lost friend by naming her daughter after her. Also liked Sage's name.
