ShirukuKage chapter 2 . 3/12/2011 I'm sorry for not reviewing on the first chapter; I just barely stumbled onto this story and was too impatient to stop reading long enough to do so. I do hope that you haven't abandoned this story altogether, I love the concept that you've created here. The sense that Chuck is finding comfort and peace in someone who looks familiar but also how he recognizes that they are different people and how his feelings blind him to the fact that Neal is somewhat suspicions of Chuck's sincerity but still willing to take the chance. Then the additional conflict felt by Casey because he shares in the sense of suspicion, only towards the one who originally felt it. I just love that duality of suspicion. I also love how Casey feels that way because of his own feelings for Chuck. I don't know who to root for because Neal and Casey both have feelings for Chuck. One who cares despite the fact he thinks Chuck's going to leave him and one who cares because thinks 'the rival' is going to leave Chuck. I simply love it. I can easily picture both relationships being possible with Neal leaving Chuck because he ultimately succumbs to his fear of abandonment and then Casey swooping in to help heal Chuck from his latest crushing blow. Sorry about the length of this, the story was just that good. Anyway, I do hope that you'll continue this someday, I'd love to see where you take it. Keep up the great work. |
dreameralways chapter 2 . 12/4/2010 "After all, Chuck wouldn't get to have a whole team based on his abilities if he weren't ruthless and cunning and capable of taking out entire tactical teams all on his own. And surely if Chuck such a superspy, then he must be masterful at conning people. Maybe even good enough to con Neal." Except that he's really not. Random chance (sort of) and Chuck was stuck. Not a big fan of non-canon slash, but this was an interesting story. |
TheSoulmater chapter 2 . 11/30/2010 Oh very nice. Like the Neal impersonating Bryce plotline, hope to see more in the future! |
Wildfury chapter 2 . 11/9/2010 AWESOME! Please continue! |
Ms. Chips chapter 2 . 9/3/2010 Oooh, I love Casey's role here as Chuck's emotional support. I hope you'll investigate what's behind it. Is there a bit of an unfulfilled triangle with unrequited feelings, or is this just a matter of duty for Casey, insuring that the Intersect remains optimally functional. Or perhaps it's just a matter of friendship - Casey hasn't had many of those, and as irresistable as Chuck finds Bryce/Neal, Casey may be equally (albeit platonically) drawn to someone so different from himself: someone open to his feelings and unscarred by the world, even having seen its darker side... I definitely want to see where you go with this story, so I look forward to more updates. Thanks for sharing it with us! |
Ophite68 chapter 1 . 9/2/2010 A very nice little character sketch. I liked it a lot. |
Ashcat chapter 1 . 8/26/2010 I love this ficlet so much 3 ! I love that Neal is 'conned' but not really and that Chuck is letting himself get to know Neal but you know some of it is related to Bryce :D Gah I just wish there was more 3 Another fantastic example of you taking a cracky idea and making it so realistic and human and amazing! |
