It's been three years since I've read this story and I still love it. Usually, other fics just confirm the suspicion that he was abandoned and give him shitty parents. But this...the fact that you gave him such loving parents is so heartwarming. Especially considering the recent events in the Manga.
Anyway, now that I'm back, I'm going to give you a proper review instead of pleading for you to update because now I know how that feels (still sorry about that).
So, in this essay, I will try to put my feelings for Chapter 9 in a manner that is understandable...ahem...Ahgbdagerb FUUUUCKK jhgrebgkbgjrbjfdb grjf jbrja thwfb j h bf geajgb reangjf fwfhecjevthwi tunwvnaow!

Translation: I think Lake getting taken [insert Liam Neeson joke] is sort of poetic justice. Now the doctor feels the agony he help put Allen's parents through. He gets a taste of what they suffered through for 16 years. And I know the audience is supposed to feel sad for the doctor, but what he did is unforgivable. He may not have killed Allen, but in a sense he did. Had he not taken Allen, then Nea wouldn't have been able to implant the memories. Thus making his days even more limited. He wouldn't have died that one time by Tyki's hands. He [The Doctor] just robbed Allen of his happiness. I just hope that by experiencing this he will understand the pain and maybe find a way to atone for his sin. Now as for the disgraceful priest (it's really telling that the evilest villains are the ones who justify their actions with religion), I can't wait to see him trampled on and burn in hell. And as for Lily/Adam(heh), the only way I see for them getting out of this [without Allen connecting the dots] is for them to tell the half-truth and lie the rest of the way. But, if they do tell the whole truth, then well soooo many feelings are going to happen. Rose might feel betrayed yet happy. Like Allen (the cool guy that is a wizard at cards) is her older brother yet her parents kept it a secret from her for years. They could've had the decency to lie and say she had a brother but he died at birth or something. Allen...I'm not sure. Is he going to be happy? Broken? Maybe wonder why they didn't search for him (which the doctor could explain that one)? Hell, outright not believe them at first? That would be a lot for him to process. And afterward, it's going to be weird/awkward around them. Like, how do you act around people you don't know but should? Allen won't be able to suddenly turn around and call them Ma/Pa/Mom/Dad/etc. And! AND! He's going to learn that his kidnapper is in the same room as him! The one who gave him to the circus! Will it dawn on him that he could've had a sem-normal life-until the Order eventually found him, but still! Semi-normal! With a whole family and everything!
Ugh! Everything about this is perfectly tragic. I love it.
