This, my dear, is gold. Absolutely breathtaking and right on the mark. If Hector could have said anything else, this is exactly what he would have said. As his end came in the movie, I wish they would have recited this poem.
So, brilliant job. You've not only managed to communicate the message with no excess word, but also made them rhyme. Hector was one of my favorite character and I'm glad to have came across this poem.

this story had me crying over Hector all over again. When I watched the actually movie I couldnt stop crying when Hector died and this had me in tears all over again. Amazing!
