This was very sad. Well-written, but very sad. This was one of the rare times I cried when reading a story. Well done.

To the person calling themselves "Stu":

1. Why did you read more than the synopsis if you felt it was inappropriate?

2. Are you saying my feelings are illegitimate? That I have no right to express myself? This is my way of letting the feelings out so I don't commit suicide myself. Would you rather I did?

3. "this 'Death Note' stuff" as you call it has given thousands of teens a reason to live. Its underlying message is that we should make the most of our lives to promote kindness and understanding. You're right: it's not entertainment. It's hope and life.

4. Parents should watch Death Note with their teens and discuss it with them. It's an unparalleled story exploring what "good" and "evil" really mean. You either decided to dislike it without studying it, or you missed its meaning.

5. Death Note helped keep me alive when I didn't want to live. If more people understood it and were willing to give it a chance, maybe the girl in your city would have changed her mind. I wish I could have known her.

6. I'm very sorry for your loss; don't try to lessen your pain by making me feel worse than you do.

This kind of stuff is not appropriate for teenagers to be reading or watching. We just had a girl in our city who committed suicide, she was really into this "Death Note" stuff. This is evil stuff, not entertainment. Parents should really watch out for this stuff.

This is interesting so far

I feel like there wasn't that much explanation for the suicide, nor was there any elaboration on the character's feelings. It seemed a bit distant, the writing.
