| AnonymousM chapter 41 . 7/12/2018 Oh wow! I’ve read this twice already and I love it! Some favorites (in no particular order): ~ “There is nothing brotherly about my feelings for you” ~ And Jacob kissed her! And she kissed him back! ~ The different approach to imprinting... it made sense and I really liked it. ~ The character of Jaz was very interesting. I had hoped we could have seen Max’s reaction to all of the supernatural, but I also understand that sometimes having more OCs is just confusing and muddles the narrative. Overall, I think the maturity was good. I do think Edward babying her wasn’t good for her or for their relationship. Partners should be equals, not some perverse father-child thing, which is sometimes the vibe I get off of Edward. I am, however, very happy that they got to stay friends :) I like that Bella had to think about her relationships, and didn’t just jump from one to another. I like that Jacob didn’t necessarily make it easy for her, either. And oh, God, Quil, poor Quil. I was really unhappy when you killed Claire, so I’m happy you gave him a resolution, too. And you introduced Jaz and Max separately, so their development (particularly Jaz’s) didn’t seem conveniently contrived. I know this review is more of a stream-of-consciousness and not that organized, but I wanted to make sure you knew everything I really liked about it! Cheers! ~M |
| cloudsongs chapter 1 . 6/25/2018 This was such a sweet story! Bella was very realistic in the way she thought, spoke, and reacted. I’m glad you made Jacob into a mature character since many “Bella left Jacob and returns a few years later” stories tend to have Jacob act like a total animal. I really laughed when you added the bit about Stephanie Meyer. Great job! |
