| Ricardo chapter 1 . 6/19 I prefer to read a romantic story with happy ending but this story was dark and twisted and pretty sad ending for both daphne and harry. I would have liked to see more on daphne belief for her cause on joining the death eaters and why she believes in it. Not a fan of twisted stories like this but it’s a change of pace from the usual. |
| odonnellzoo99 chapter 12 . 6/3 I stand by my earlier comment that this was waaayyyy darker than I expected it to be. However, I will admit I was wrong in the same comment when I stated that I was expecting no improvement for Harry over the final 3 chapters. I still can't call this a happy ending, but there is something approaching contentment and sanity at the end. Also, the ending made me believe there was a point to the darkness in this story when so many other dark fics appear to be dark simply for the sake of being dark and depressing. I don't believe that "dark for the sake of dark" makes for good writing. I'm glad that I hung around for the ending. Thank you for sharing your creativity. |
| odonnellzoo99 chapter 9 . 6/3 Well, this is about 99.999% darker the Harry/Daphne 6th year fic that I finished right before starting this one. The sequence wasn't planned. I was just the next tab opened as I opened about a dozen stories that I was interested in reading. It does make for an interesting comparison, though. This has been a tough read. I don't see it getting any easier, but there are only 3 chapter left, so I'll hang on to see if Harry any happiness at all. I'm not expecting any, though. |
