The difference between lefties and righties is actually scientifically indistinguishable. The reason for all of this misinformation is a series of psychological studies performed by Gazzaniga et al., which determined that the right half of the brain is more focused on emotion, proportion, and abstract concepts, while the right is more language, learning, and speaking. Which WOULD be pretty good evidence for lefties being more artistic, EXCEPT...

...the participants all had severe brain damage. Yep, they were all chronically and severely epileptic and had chosen to undergo a very unusual process called commissurotomy in order to prevent seizures. This process severed the corpus callosum, a thick neural cord connecting the two halves of the brain. There was no communication between the two halves of the brain at all. In a normal person, the brain cannot be considered as two halves, but rather as one functioning whole.
